Harris paints another portrait of Aleksy, this time depicting him floating in the air above a summer field filled with wildflowers. He turns to work on one of his mother and father, together as they never were in his short lifetime. It was always his dream they’d get back to each other. He glances at the scar on his wrist. There’s no pain. It’s imprinted on his spiritual body, Angel Adhira tells him, as a reminder of how he came to be in Heaven. Not as punishment, but as a guide while he charts his new course. Not that he could ever forget that fatal decision to end his life of pain and bullying. If only he’d realized that it may have been a temporary pain in the span of a lifetime. One that would end with graduating high school and entering a whole new world where prejudice wasn’t tolera
