The night air is balmy and fragrant with wildflowers. A billion stars dot the clear night sky. Harris steps down from the Sacred Telescope; a grin lights up his chubby bespectacled features. His new friend Abidemi stands chatting excitedly to Warren nearby, her beaded braids dancing around her face. They aren’t aware yet of the change in Harris’s demeanor until he gets closer. Nearby, Angel Rainbow Sunshine sleeps peacefully with her head on her guitar, her faithful St. Bernard snuggled alongside. “Harris, you have news?” Abidemi asks, patting his shoulder. “I can hardly believe it. It’s a miracle!” Harris is careful to keep his voice down, not wanting to wake the angel and be subjected to her singing.
