CHAPTER 7 Mission: Find the Captain's Secret THEY WERE ON their way back to the training camp. Grey simply went beside Amber, the Captain of the first squad. He gave him a nudge but he just glare back yo him. He never thought that the captain was really a small built man. He was just below his forehead if it's not because of his metal helmet. But he is not wearing one that time, so he can see clearly his height. "Can I ahmm... " He cleared his throat. "Can I have a private talk with you even for a minute?" he asked. Amber stopped and let the other men went on. They were left on the back of the line. When no one's looking for them, he leaded him on shed under a tree where he could say what he was about to tell. Amber was looking at him in a serious way. He could see his face clearly that time, now he has a time with him alone. Amber's face is small. Though stained with dirt from the training ground, he could tell that his skin were fair and soft. Something that is uncommon for men. His lashes were long and curved like a crescent moon. His eyes were sparkling though glaring like a tiger. What a beautiful man ! Wait. Is he attracted to his physical features? He blinked too many times. "Your time is running. I thought you want to talk to me for only a minute? " he said. "Ah, yes! About my training - - " he started but was cut off. "It was tough, right? I saw how Aisel trained you a while ago." "That's what she just said. But the truth is I did not undergo any training from her this morning." "I saw it," Amber said, seriously. "No," he said. "Well," Amber said as he took his sword on his hand, pointing it towards the ground. " Hold my sword." He was confused. Yet, he still did what he was asking. But just before he could hold it, Amber let the sword go. He, on the other hand, swiftly catched the grip of the sword. Thankfully, he did. He can feel it was lighter than the sword they gave to him for training and also for battle. "Lighter, isn't it?" Amber said, as if he had read his thoughts. " That sword was given to me as a gift from the General Commander Rojjan. It was pretty heavy that it cannot be weild by just one hand the first time. Yet you swiftly held it, catched it rather, with your right hand." Amber move his hand to get his sword back. Really? But he was sure that that sword was very light. "All our men under our squad went under her. She's playful, I know. But she's the best trainer in the land of Enchantria. " He took a sigh and straightened his back. "If you're wanting a real training so badly, don't worry. I will tell her to give you one. Let head back." They did head back to the camp. He is really hoping that Amber will tell what he is asking. It may also be a good chance to get away from Aisel. "Gri - Gri!" Aisel waved at him after Amber talk to her for a minute. She even was the one who came to greet him. She halted in front of him and put her hands behind her back. "Amber told me you want a real training. I'll give you a real one." "Really? " he asked, making sure he was not hearing anything else. "Yes. Of course. Hmm ... How about you some push ups? Like the other men on that group." She pointed out group of men who were doing some stretching. "Is that it?" He smirked. "That ' s easy," he boasted and headed to the group Aisel is talking about. He excitedly began doing some stretching. He can feel gazes from his group mates. It was eyes of pity rather than being arrogant. "Good luck. I hope you can do this. We are hoping you will survive." Someone patted his right shoulder. "Aisel will try to torture you, especially on the first day." "Well, I feel that already. When she made me hold her umbrella for half a day," he said. Everyone look at each other like he said something unbelievable. "It's just push ups. I'm good with them. I do that threetimes a week at the gym," he stated. "Gym? What is that?" He forgot. He was still at Enchantria, where way of living are still quite different. Traditional, should say. "Okay! Let's start? " Aisel shouted. "Everyone in position." She was holding an umbrella again. And that sight is torturing him. He would choose doing exercise than holding that thing for her. All of them went on the ground, with their palms pushed down. "Let's do fifty push ups. Ready? One down. Two down . Three down. Four down. Five down. Six down." She began counting as they followed her beat. Just as they were about to finish the fifty counts, he felt something heavy behind his back. "Forty-one down. Nine left to go. " But how can he finish it when Aisel is sitting on his back like a princess riding a horse. "Why did you stop Gri - Gri? You can't finish it? I thought you want to become stronger? " He move down, carrying her on his back. But he can't move himself up. "Want some motivation? If you can't finish it, you'll have to obey me until your rank is higher than me. But if you can, I'll make you the strongest man of first squad. I will even stop bothering you." His other group mates signaled him to keep on fighting. They even mouted " Go! Go! Go!" as their cheer. Damn! How can he do that when the evil brat is riding on his back? His biceps could not handle that. Especially that his hands are still trembling from holding the umbrella. He pushed the ground to lift up and he did. He can feel Aisel grins. "Hmm, I never thought you could still move." He moved down and felt Aisel moved. She just crossed her legs to sit on his back. Now, he's going to carry her whole weight. "I'm giving you until the sun sets. If you fail, remember my condition." He tried once more. He pushed as hard as he could yo lift himself. But he did not moved even a single inch. She is too heavy! Is she a woman? How could a woman weigh this heavy? She might be tall but it's different. The sun is out but he was still there under Aisel who looks too enjoying herself. The trainees already left the training camp. Even the Captain already left. The only left there was he and Aisel. Aisel moved and went off from him. "Okay. Sun is out. You're still my pet, " she said smiling. Aisel left him on lying on the ground, full of failure. Maybe he needs to freshen up. Aisel told him about the clear lake where he could use to bath himself. It wasn't that hard to find it. No one's around anymore. And the surrounding is already dark. He was about to take off his clothes when he saw someone walking alone. He even thought it was a ghost. All he knew, by this time, all of the men were already at the dining area. He was just late because of the stupid training. The way the man walk was familiar to him. Even the clothes he was wearing. Though dim, he can see the man because of the moon that was still rising to give light on that dark evening. It was the captain ! Every step of Amber was too careful. He would turn around on certain direction to check if someone was there. It doesn't look like he was scouting. He looks like hiding from someone. No! He was careful and making sure no one can see him. Is he trying to hide something? Curiosity got him. He returned his clothes and followed him. His makes sure his steps were as light as a feather. He was sure the captain was up to something. Amber came to small cage, curtained with a wild animals skin . The cave was about a kilometers away from the camp. It was in a middle of the forest located at the back of the castle. He waited for minutes but Amber didn't came out from the cave. Is he camping here? But why it has to be in a cave in the middle of the forest? He doesn' t know. But one thing he is sure of. The captain is hiding something. A crazy idea flashes his mind that time. He can use whatever secret he has for his benefits. He will find the Captain's secret and use it to his advantage.
