Mission 14: Shut the Vice - Captain's Mouth
"WHERE have you been?" Amber approached him early the next day. " You didn't came back."
"I told you, I am tired," Grey answered briefly, showing unattentiveness.
He went straight to his team so Amber can't bother him. He kept himself busy training.
Lunch time came. As usual, Amber and Aisel came to sit with him. Aisel was talkative as he was before. He kept acting cute and very extra careful with his skin.
Amber, on the other hand, keeps on on looking at him. But he did not bother yo ask if she wants to say something. Honestly, he's really disappointed after what he just witnessed last night.
On their way back to the training field, someone just pulled him abruptly back,a way f rom the troops. It was none other than Amber.
He was about to leave when Amber insisted him to stay for just a second.
"Are you angry?" she asked.
"No," he answered briefly.
"Then why?"
"What 'why' ?" he also asked trying to avoid the topic.
"Why are you acting this way? Why are you avoiding me? It's making me feel guilty, " said she.
"Guilty? You should have kept our words in the first place. That way, you won't feel guilty," he said.
"I did. I kept it. I did not say anything about you."
He turned his back.
"You'll still come tonight, right?" she asked.
But he did not answer and just continue walking.
LAST night ...
Grey helped the princess to climb back to the fence.
"Thank you very much Grey. I had so much fun. Please let me know if ever you'll need my help in the future," she whispered before heading in.
He just nodded.
It was already late. Can he still return after what he did earlier?
That was really a childish decision of his. Why did he e ven did that?
He wonders if he will still be welcome. This is the time where he will eat his pride and go back. That is if Amber is still there.
Just when he decided to go back, he came to accidentally saw Amber talking to the Commander Rojjan. Is she already telling him about him possessing such power? But he still got two days.
"It's water element, " Amber uttered.
"Hmm ... I don't think so," Rojjan answered.
Rojjan eyes moved to him who happen to stand far behind Amber. "Oh, Gu - grey, " he greeted.
Amber turned around to look at him with eyes wide open. It was as if she saw a ghost.
He was too near them that he got no chance to turn his back that time.
GREY slowly walked towards the lake, where he usually trains after his training at the training field. His hands were on his pockets.
Amber stood up really quickly upon s eeing him.
"Grey! " she said with a slight glad on her tone.
"You did really came."
"I'm just here to say I'm done with training secretly here with you. It's making me tiring that I can't even have alone time with my self.
"But I really did not say anything about you possessing the powers," she said.
"Yes. You didn't. but you mentioned it to him making him t o doubt. Who knows? He might be following your every move. Making sure that you just asked a random question to the Commander," he blurted.
"I just wanted to know how could you control your powers. "
He shook his head. " I'm leaving, " he said.
"Please don't tell anyone," she asked.
He paused for a while, slightly looked back.
"Don't worry. I won't. I am not like you."
He took his way off but then he stopped again. The bush beside him just collapse and reveal a human.
His skirt were a little bit stained with dirt and moved upwards. His hair is also in a mess with few twigs and leaves stucked on it.
"Aisel? " Amber moved closer.
"Oopsie! I got caught," Aisel said as he laughed standing up.
"How long have you been there?" he asked nervously.
" Hmmm. I don't quite sure, " he answered.
"How long were you following Grey?" Amber asked.
He was followed? He didn't even notice.
"I don't know. Maybe, since you guys started keeping this secret? " Aisel answered.
"Amber. What are we gonna do?" he asked her with his eyes only, hoping Amber would read his thoughts.
Yeah. They were just fighting a second ago but the situation suddenly changed. Now that Aisel appears and what could be worse than being caught with their secret.
"Let's be direct, vice - captain ... No. Aisel. What do you want in return to keep your lips zipped?' Amber asked like a business woman who is expect in making a deal or doing some proposals.
Aisel's lips started to curve a smirk. That smirk is making them nervous.
"Well." He gently brushed off the few strands of his hair that messed up when he was hiding by the bushes. Aisel looked at him and his smirk grew wider.
"I just want you to simply do my every order," he said.
"That's it?" he said unbelieved.
"Yes. Follow my orders. That's it," he replied.
"You've been ordering me around," he said.
"Yeah. And this this time, I want you to follow my orders in and out the training," Aisel said.
"What? That's unfair. How about the captain? " he pointed her.
"Why me?"
"Because we both hide the secret."
"Don't worry about the captain," Aisel said. "Well. It's getting late already. I still need to sleep to have my beauty rest. I need to take care of my gorgeousness. I'll see you guys tomorrow," the vice - captain waved and took his leave.
"What are we gonna do?" he asked the captain. l
It seems that they already forgot that they had a fight earlier.
"We don't have to do anything. It's just you, he said. " said she.
"What?"
She just nodded as she raised her eyebrows.
"Don't worry. He won't tell anyone about this," she assures.
"What made you think of that?"
"Because -- " she paused for a while. "Because he knows," she mumbled as she hugged herself.
Is she embarrassed right now?
"What else does he know?" he asked.
"He knows I'm a woman, " she mumbled again.
He blinked a few times.
"That' s why, he was allowed to dress up like that. So he'll keep his mouth shut about my secret."
She took a step to leave.
"It's getting late. We can continue some other time. You can rest for now. We just need to focus on keeping the Vice - Captain's mouth shut."
