CRITICAL MISSION : CAPTURE THE VILLAINESS' HEART CHAPTER 24 Mission 24 : Step Towards the Old Man Whos Something "SO, YOU ARE FINALLY back?" said the familiar coarse voice of an old man. Yes. It was the crazy old man back then. It was the old man he talked to. And it was sitting just in front of him. It was also his first time to see his face a little bit clearer than before. His skin that envelopes his slightly skinny flesh were as rough as a bitter melon dried under the sunny sun of summer. It was as course as the old man's dry voice like gurgling. His hair were longer than of a woman ' s hair, but grayer than that of a hag ' s. His teeth looks disgusting. He can guess he has been a prisoner for years now. But why are they here? Is he also going to end up like this man? No! This can't be. His foot stepped back wards. Yes! He is back here and he doesn't want to be here. Not anymore! He haven't tried being inside a cell. Never in his life. Even in his real world. "Yes. I am back , " the Commander answered. A thing that made his eyes grew wider than usual. It was a shock for him. He is back. That means the Commander also know about the old man behind thi s bars. And what more could he keep? They just went there secretly and talked to a prisoner. Does the Commander know him by chance? Ro or is the Commander also is keeping secrets? "I am not pertaining to you. I am talking about him, " the old man said as his scaly reddish eyes landed on him. He is talking about him? he thought. " I thought you are going back home. Why are you still here? You made it out this dungeon. Well at first, I was wondering if they already beheaded you, " the the old man said. "You met him?" the Commander asked. His forehead are crumpled as he looked back to him. "You should have thrown too mny people here. But how can you forget that man. The man who have looked at the princess, " the old man said as his dry lips curved in to playful grin. "So , you were that - - that guy? " the Commander ask ed. He nodded nervously and slowly. The commander's face turned darker. He have seen this expression before. That was the time when he saw the face of the beautiful princess. "YOUR TURN, " he said as he tapped his shoulder. He went inside with a soldier inside that room. Inside were white and golds. It was like stepping on a holy place. He was asked to sit in front of a satin curtained corner, with his back facing that. The soldier stood by the door, facing the other way and were meters away. He could hear some small pieces of metals clanging on each other. A hand tapped his back. That made him look behind. There he saw a pale looking face of an angel. Yes. Like what Habeck told him, she is really pretty. Is it normal to have such beauties in where he is? But he could see the pain behind that face. She is enduring something. She looks ill. "Turn your back. I'll heal you, " she whispered like a harmony of a harp. He held her hand that was about to touch him again. "No," he shook his head. "Is this why you were sick?" he asked out of nowhere. Her eyes widened. "If healing me will make your state worse, then I'll better endure this on my own. You don't have to sacrifice your health." Just as he said those words, the soldier went near them and dragged him away from the princess. He pressed him down the cold floor with the sharp end of the sword on his throat. "What happened here? " Rojjan came in and echoed his voice inside. "He saw the princess' face, " the soldier said. "I just saw her face. What's wrong with that? A beauty like that shouldn't be hiding, " he defended but stopped when the sword moved closer to his neck. "Take him to the dungeon," Rojjan ordered his men. He kept struggling but those men were stronger than him. He was taken to the stairs below the main floor. It was dark and there's only a glim of light to there. They took him behind bars, like a prison. His hands gripped on those horizontal metals. "W - - wait! I did not do anything wrong. Hey! I just wanna ask to be returned that's why I don't want to be cured. Hey!" "I just saw her face. I don't think that is a sin," he still defended the unsolved case he had before. "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Why do you hide so many things? " the old man teasingly asked. It is more like stating. "It doesn't matter to you. What I am doing is for the kingdom. I am just doing my job," Rojjan answered. "And that includes you letting me have a special treatment as a prisoner?" the old man asked. " I told you I won't answer you directly, " he continued. " I promised to answer you but I didn't say it would be the truth." " I am here to ask about him, " the Commander pointed him. "Him? This man?" the old man asked. "You heard me right." The old man raised his brows and signaled him to come forward. Rojjan gave him a way. And he took a step forward, not sure if he needs him to move a few more steps. The old man stood up and moved forward. But the other side of th3 old man's dungeon were also made m up of metal bars, that won't allow any prisoner to escape. The old man stared at him, like a gortune teller. "You were quite a special one," the old man stated.
