Epilogue: Home

"I'm home. Sunoo-sunbaenim?" Sooyoung closed the door. "You're home!" Sunoo greeted her in an apron, to which, Sooyoung tried her best to not laugh out loud at. After taking a shower, Sooyoung approached the kitchen in her pajamas, the ones that Sunoo commented that they aren't even one, and was welcomed by dishes of scrambled eggs and meant-to-be rolls of kimbap. They sat down and ate dinner. As they were eating, Sunoo bragged to her his day at work and how satisfied he was when he was finally able to scare Se Hwan. Sooyoung only smiled as she listened to his story and chewed on her meal. "Sunoo-sunbaenim, you need to finish your meal." "I know. And so..." Sunoo continued with his story. When Sooyoung finishes her meal, Sunoo's dish was still left untouched. And so, she sat there for another half an hour listening to him eating and talking. Afterward, Sooyoung took the dishes to the sink and washed them, only then to be interrupted by Sunoo pouting and insisting to do it instead. He reasoned that he already had an apron, that he had all types of liquid sprinkled all over it already, a few more wouldn't do any harm. When Sunoo finished the dishwashing, he slithered to Sooyoung, who was busy watching a choreography video on her laptop in the living room, and hoped to surprise her. "Sunoo-sunbaenim..." Sooyoung trailed off when her eyes were covered by two wounded hands. Her cheeks flushed. "How'd you know it's me?" Sunoo moved from behind the sofa to sit beside Sooyoung. Sooyoung let out a puff. She closed her laptop lid and glanced at him: "You're too cheeky." "But you love me so it doesn't matter right?" Sunoo registered his head into the crook of her neck, his arms sprung out to grab her close to him, placing her back against his chest. Slyly, he removed her laptop from her laps, seeking her attention as he rubbed his head on her skin. Too shy to answer, Sooyoung took his hand in hers. "What are you doing?" Sunoo placed his chin on her shoulder. "Kiss it better." Sooyoung held his band-aided fingers to her lips. "And thanks for the food." Sunoo's eyes watered and his lips could not control the stupid smile stretched on them. He pulled Sooyoung even closer. "Sunoo-sunbaenim, turn me over. I wanna face you." "No. I don't wanna." He buried his head into her shoulder. Then, he added: "And stop calling me Sunoo-sunbaenim." Sooyoung only chuckled and ran her hand through his hair. "What did I do to deserve you?"
