A.N. This is my first attempt at writing a story so please bare with me guys. I apologize in advance for any spelling/grammar errors. This is just a rough copy but I hope you guys enjoy it regardless. Autumn Thomas has lived an unfortunate life since she became separated from her family after they were attacked by rogues as they were traveling. Her last memory was of her mother, fleeing with a young Autumn in her arms hiding her behind a nearby dumpster, down the side of a building. "Do not come out under any circumstances. I will come back for you my precious darling. I love you Autumn more than you will ever know." Her mother Olivia said before running back in the direction her husband Luke was, struggling against 2 rogues. Autumn tucked her knees into her chest as she wrapped her little arms around her legs, burying her head into herself for comfort while she silently sobbed. Her mind was too consumed with fear that it took her a minute or so to register that she no longer could hear any growling. Panic started to set in and before she knew it her mind was bombarded with questions. What was happening out there? Is mum and dad okay? Of course they are, mum reassured me that she'd come back for me so I'll wait like she told me to. Why is it silent? If the fight is over, why has mum not returned for me? Time started to pass slowly, it had only been 20 minutes yet it felt like years had past. After fighting an internal battle with herself whether to wait or not she could no longer contain herself. So she went against her mother's orders and peeked around the corner of the dumpster making sure it was safe to come out of hiding. She gently stood up, trying to be as quiet as possible and slowly, but cautiously took a step out from behind her temporary safe haven. As she took a step forward her feet started to involuntarily move, she couldn't stop them if she wanted too, her curiosity getting the better of her. Autumn took a few steps before she reached the end of the building. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she nervously peered around the corner of the building, and what she saw shattered her fragile little 6 year old heart. There, in the middle of street, splayed across the gravel road were my parents lifeless bodies. She clutched the locket around her neck, that was gifted to her upon her 5th birthday. Inside it contained a family photo of the 3 of them. The only physical reminder she now has of her parents. Her knees became weak, buckling under her as silent tears escaped her broken stormy grey eyes. She gasped for air as she struggled to breathe, everything around her becoming a blur. She had just lost the only family she had. She had no idea of how to find her way back to her pack as her family had been on holiday for 2 weeks, traveling by car, celebrating her parents 25th wedding anniversary. That's when she first heard her. Aurora. "I know your hurting right now Autumn, but you need to listen to me. We need to run and find shelter somewhere before the rogues return. We can't let them find us otherwise they'll kill us too." "Who are you?!" Autumn asked suddenly feeling terrified. "My name is Aurora. I am your wolf Autumn. Although you normally wouldn't get your wolf until you turn 16, your grief has pulled me through earlier. So I need you to listen to me and trust me. I'm here to help and guide you". Oddly, she felt safe with those reassuring words from Aurora. "Okay then" was all that Autumn managed to say. She stood up brushing dust of her knees, wiping the remaining tears that had fallen and tucking a few stray straight strands of jet black hair behind her ears. Taking one last glance at her parents dead bodies before turning her back and running. She didnt know where she was going or what she was going to do she just went wherever her little tiny legs carried her. Autumn wandered the streets for 2 years often sleeping in playground tunnels or bus stops to shelter herself from the rain. She found food by scavenging through rubbish bins or if she was lucky stumbling upon fruit trees. To say her life was rough would be an understatement. It was a life no one should have to endure, let alone a child. Her clothes were torn and dirty, her once long luscious straight jet black hair was all knotted and tangled. From an outsider's point of view she looked feral. In the beginning she tried to maintain herself, washing her body in public restrooms whenever the opportunity arose but after awhile, she just gave up completely, not caring about her appearance. She was damaged. So what was the point? As she journeyed from town to town, she was eventually found by a neighboring pack when some warriors found her while they were doing border patrol checks. She was captured and immediately taken to the Alpha. His name Alpha Caleb Blake of the Crescent Moon pack. He was a sinister man. He allowed Autumn refuge in his pack but if you thought she was now safe, you couldn't be anymore wrong. He treated her like scum. She became the omega of the pack. He would use her personally as a punching bag and maid. And if that wasn't enough the entire pack acted with nothing but pure hatred towards her. *7 YEARS LATER* "COME HERE YOU MANGY MUTT!." His voice bellowed through the walls. I quickly stood up from the floor, dropping the scrubbing brush I had in my hand and hurriedly made my way towards the voice that was calling to me from the dining room. As I entered the room, I bowed my head and tilted it to the side showing my neck in submission to my master. "You called, Master." "My dinner is cold mutt, why is that?!" Alpha Caleb said to me, his words laced with venom. "I am sorry Master, it was hot when i placed the plate on the table, Master." I said to him with my head still bowed. "OH SO YOU'RE CALLING ME A f*****g LIAR NOW ARE YA?" Nothing I could ever do was right in the eyes of Alpha Caleb. He hated everything about me and I dont know why. I haven't done anything towards him to infuriate or agitate him. He just seems to be disgusted by my existence. "No Master. I'm sorry Master I will fetch you a new plate" I nervously said walking towards him and reaching out to pick his plate up. Before I could get a grip on the plate I felt my head being grabbed from behind and slammed into it. I instantly felt a burning sensation before it was replaced by a pain in my ribs. Alpha Caleb had lifted his leg and kicked me in the side of my ribs while my face was shoved into the plate, sending me tumbling towards the entrance I had walked in. "YOU'RE PATHETIC, A DISGRACE TO MY PACK. I SHOULD HAVE LEFT YOU PACKLESS SO THAT THE ROGUES COULD TEAR YOU LIMB FROM LIMB. BUT THEN AGAIN, I WOULDNT HAVE YOU AROUND TO ENTERTAIN ME." he snickered at me "NO SUPPER FOR YOU FOR A WEEK. YOU'RE ALREADY TOO FAT. NOW GET THE f**k OUT OF MY SIGHT BEFORE I VOMIT LOOKING AT YOUR DISGUSTING FACE". "Yes Master." I said before bowing and leaving the room. Oh moon goddess what did I do to deserve a life such as this. Alright guys that's all for chapter one dont forget to comment and vote. Thank y'all!!!!!
