I watched Cal leave my room with a heavy heart. He'd asked me if I loved him and I just froze and after my little show, I'd asked him to leave.
Everything was just so upsidedown and I didn't even know where or how to begin. Even True felt my grief. Well, it was our grief so, of course she felt it. I didn't want to deprive him of sleep again so I did my best to stop thinking about him and sleep which after a few minutes, I did.
I closed the door, walked to my bed with tears still streaming down my face and collapsed on the bed. How did everything get so wrong so quickly? Daphne, Calvin...and then I remembered Kenneth. Kenneth who'd tried to make me a deal. A deal which I hadn't replied to. He'd said when Daphne left but I...correction, we'd missed that meeting.
