"Ava, have you served the man on table 10? Emma, Ava's coworker in Glitterz Restaurant asked her as she put the menu on the table in front of Ava showing her other orders.
"Oh, I've forgotten. This night shift is more stressful than working normal hours. Caitlyn should give me a cut for helping her tonight." Ava replied to Emma with weariness in her voice. She had worked all through the day and now she has to fill in the space for Caitlyn who was supposed to take the night shift.
"s**t! I think I've also forgotten what the man ordered" She frowns and hits her hand on her forehead showing how frustrated she was.
She turned to Emma and asked
"Urmm Emma, do you remember what the man on table 10 ordered?"
Emma gave Ava a disappointing look and replied harshly.
"How can you forget what a customer ordered? Are you serious about this job at all? If you know you can't cope or you don't have enough memory in that egg-shaped head of yours, why don't you just quit."
"I only asked a question, Emma. If you don't have my answers you could've just shut your mouth up" Ava hissed and walked up to the man at table 10 to plead with him and ask what he had ordered.
"Yes sir. Please I'm extremely sorry for delaying your order. My boss asked me to do some other things and urmm it seems I've for-got-ten what you ordered, sir." She said in the most calming and gentle voice ever not wanting to get the man annoyed.
"I'm very sorry sir." She quickly added before the man could say anything.
"It's okay, but next time learn to prioritize the needs of your customers first above any other things. The customers are the lifeblood of this restaurant, and even the source of your income." The man gave her a reassuring smile as he spoke to her gently
Ava was surprised by how the man replied to her, most customers don't do this. She remembered last week how a customer treated Emma when she gave her what she didn't order. She insulted her and exited the restaurant angrily, Emma was the one who paid for the meal since no one was willing to buy it.
"Give me Blackwood's Diva Vodka" The man's deep masculine voice jolted Ava back to reality.
"What else do you want, sir."
"Ummm, that's all for now… and don't call me sir. I'm Benjamin" He paused a little and asked.
"You are?"
"I'm Ava, sir. Oh, sorry, Mr. Benjamin" She chuckled
"It's alright, Ava" Benjamin laughed
"Let me go get you what you ordered, I'll be back in a jiffy"
Ava is the most loved worker in Glitterz Restaurant, when her coworkers think some situations will land her in trouble, the opposite is usually the case. This made Emma grow hatred towards Ava.
"Pass me a bottle of Blackwood's Diva Vodka, Emma" Ava called out to Emma who was just right beside the bar.
Emma was perplexed as she didn't get to hear Ava being insulted.
"Are you just coming from table 10?" Emma asked expressing her confusion.
"Yes, the man sitting there ordered a bottle of Blackwood's Diva Vodka, that's why I'm asking you to pass it to me," Ava replied, not noticing the anger that was boiling up in Emma.
"Come and take it yourself, I'm not your maid." Emma hissed and shifted aside
"I still don't understand how she gets so lucky, everyone loves her for absolutely no reason, and she gets all the praises, tips, everything. I hate you Ava" Emma said to herself in a whisper.
"You're just so unpredictable sometimes, Emma. Like, what's wrong if you pass me that bottle." Ava looked at Emma's face as she picked up the vodka and went straight to serve Benjamin.
"Here's your order, Mr. Benjamin" Ava served him smiling, as usual.
"Thank you, Ava. Make sure you see me before I go." Benjamin tells her.
"Okay" she replied
Twenty minutes later.
"Ava please help me serve that aged man at table 15. I need to quickly use the restroom" Emma told Ava smiling at her
"What if I say no" Ava replied frowning her face
"Come on, please" Emma pleaded
"Okay, I've heard. What did he order?" Ava asked
"He ordered whiskey for himself and rum for his friend," Emma said hastily
"Okay. I'm only doing this because you need to use the restroom"
"Thank you, Ava," Emma said and hurriedly walked away
"Hello sir, here is your order for you and your friend," Ava said giving her usual attractive smile
"You are extremely beautiful my dear" the aged man said grinning
He bends forward and says quietly
"Are you in for a threesome? Me, you, and my good friend here"
"What! I don't do such sir. I need to get going"
As Ava stepped forward, the aged man grabbed her ass tightly, and on impulse, Ava's hand ran through the air like lightning and landed on the old man's cheek.
"He deserves another" said a voice, and without wasting time, Ava landed another slap on the man's right cheek.
"Do you know who I am? You'll regret, this mark my word" the aged man said angrily.
His friend stood up angrily and tried to slap Ava but was stopped by a muscular arm.
"Do you really want to lay your filthy hands on her, Mr. James?" A deep voice asked.
Ava looked behind her and saw that it was Benjamin although he was slightly drunk but she was relieved a bit.
"I'm sorry Mr. Benjamin." Mr. James faced down and said trembling
"And you, Mr. Andreas, what right do you have to hit a lady's backside?" He questioned him
"Mr. Benjamin, We are extremely sorry. Please forgive us" Mr. Andreas pleaded, his voice shaking it was evident they both feared Benjamin.
Somehow, Benjamin knows both Mr. Andreas and Mr. John and they greatly feared him due to their past encounters.
"Now get out of here! Both of you" Benjamin ordered
Ava could not help but wonder what type of man Benjamin was, she was surprised how those men greatly feared Benjamin as if he was a mafia leader of some sort.
"Are you alright?" Benjamin asked
"Yea… yes. Thank you" Ava replied him
"I need to get out of here. Here's my personal card make sure you call me. I have a deal for you" Benjamin handed his personal business card to Ava and got out of the restaurant right away.
Ava and Benjamin had already created a scene in the restaurant and all eyes were on Ava but luckily for her, it was time for her to sign out. Without looking at anyone's face, she quickly grabbed her things and headed home.

g the whole drama said quietly to herself
"I've gotten you, Ava" she chuckled.

"You are fired, Ava!"
