Ivara's POV
The feeling of something wet being poured on me forced my eyes open as I gasped out, my vision blurred and my breathing ragged.
I stared around, trying to adjust to the light. Why was I drenched in water? Was this the afterlife? Did those rogues finally kill me? Damnit! I didn't even get to live.
I had gotten in way darker situations than that at the river. The only difference was that I had no savior, and I was unable to defend myself.
“You don't plan on being useless all day long, do you?” I heard a faint voice mutter from a distance.
I frowned. “Xlynor?” Don’t tell me that devil followed me to the afterlife! How long was he going to torment me? He f*****g caused all this!
