I had no intention of actually touching that mark at the back of her neck but then, after I pulled off the scarf, I didn't expect to see that it had actually increased in size.
The last time I saw it, back then in the training hall, it was too tiny, almost invisible, and now it had suddenly grown overnight.
For a split second, I froze at the sight. “It got bigger,” I whispered my thoughts.
She didn’t seem to care. Despite trapping and pinning her against the wall, she was still trying to break free. “Stop it! Let me go!” She struggled harder even though it was of no use.
Her words blurred in my ears as all I saw was that mark. There was something about it that had trapped me, fixed in place and left me vulnerable. It was literally pulling me in.
