Thalia
You should have seen the penthouse. Jasper was definitely living in style. He was staying in Madison Square Park Tower in Manhattan. It was breathtaking. He practically kidnapped me. If you don't count the fact that I wanted to leave. I had just said 'now' when he grabbed me and we were standing at his penthouse door. The only thing his penthouse lacked was colour. It was mostly black, white and grey. Even the roses on the coffee table were white and black. How did he have black roses? Maybe they were fake.
"It's a new building. They opened it two months ago." He said taking off his jacket.
"And you just happened to get yourself a penthouse suite." I said while looking around.
"It wasn't that hard." he shrugged. "If I wanted I could have bought the whole building from them."
I stood leaning on one of the sofa's facing him.
"Of course you would." I said. "So...were are you staying?"
"Do you honestly think I'm going to leave you alone. You have a bounty on your head. You're stuck with me princess." He said walking up to me.
"You say that like it's a good thing." I said when he was right in front of me.
"Trust me. I'm the best person to be stuck with for eternity." He said putting his hands on either side of me. Trapping me between him and the sofa. Not that it was a bad position.
"Eternity? I thought this thing was only going to last a couple months." I said. He leaned in and smirked before whispering in my ear.
"Sweetheart by the time all this is over you'll be begging me to stay." He stepped back then turned to leave. "Bathroom's down the hall. Don't open the door for any one."
"Where are you going?"
"To get you clothes. You can't seriously keep wearing those rags." He said before leaving me alone.
I decided to take a quick shower. But then I saw his bathroom. The tub just called me. Right next to the tub was a ceiling to floor window with an amazing view of Manhattan. I filled it up then soaked myself. Finally warm water. And soap. And freaking shampoo. All that was missing was wine and music.
I don't know how long I was in there. But when I got out I found shopping bags on the bed. A white dress was spread out with a note attached to it. I picked it up and read the message scribbled across.
Get dressed. We're going out. Try to look pretty.
- Jasper -
I went through the rest the bags and found some other clothes, shoes, makeup and...wait for it....underwear. He actually bought me underwear. I picked one up and read the label. Victoria's secret. Why am I not surprised.
I got dressed and tied my hair in a high ponytail. Sitting in front of the mirror I swiped on some lip-gloss and mascara. I didn't really need makeup. And I felt like my face needed a breather tonight.
I had to hand it to him. He had good fashion sense. The dress was a short, body hugging, backless dress. Honestly I expected something more provocative. I put on a pair of heels then walked out of the bedroom. Jasper was in the living room his back to me.
"I don't know what's creeper. The fact that you got me underwear or the fact that it fit." I said stopping.
"There's nothing creepy about...." He turned to face me and stopped talking when his eyes landed on me. I felt a sudden surge of confidence. If I could get such a reaction out of him I could pretty much do anything.
"Are you gonna just stand there gawking or are we gonna leave?" I asked. He seemed to snap out of his little trance and shook his head slowly.
"Let's go." He said. He stretched out his hand towards me and I took it.
"Where are we going?"
"Ever been to a club?"
"Am I supposed to answer that?" I asked him straight faced. He laughed then shook his head.
"I'll take that as a no."
"You know I don't have my ID or anything?"
"What makes you think we're using the front door." He asked smiling mischievously.
You'd expect people to question us because we popped out of nowhere. But that didn't happen. Why you ask? Because ninety percent of the people there were drunk. The other ten percent were too preoccupied. Making out on the dance floor or chatting each other up.
Jasper dragged me towards the VIP section up stairs. We found a booth in the corner and sat next to each other. Jasper moved closer to me and yelled over the loud music.
"I'm gonna go get myself a drink. You want anything?"
"No thanks."
"Come on princess. Live a little."
"You're gonna have to try harder than that to get me drunk Jasper." I laughed. He flashed me a million dollar smile then stood up to leave.
"Stay here." He said before walking towards the bar.
I couldn't believe it. I was off the island. Peyton was still there. Why the hell did I leave her? She would be okay wouldn't she? I'm sure Amelia and Allison would get her off the island. Amelia and Allison. Were they going to find us?
"Hey beautiful." A voice said snapping me out of my thoughts.
I looked up and found myself looking at a blond haired guy. A bottle of beer in his hand. He was visibly wasted. Just my luck.
"Ugh." I said a little too loudly ignoring him.
"Playing hard to get are we?" He chuckled sitting down next to me. He reeked of alcohol and sweat.
"What the f**k do you want?" I asked moving away from him.
"How 'bout a dance" He asked leaning towards me. I leaned back as far as I could and put a hand on his chest to stop him inching forward.
"No thanks." I answered simply.
"I wasn't asking cupcake." He said a sly smile on his lips. I was about to respond when he was pulled off me and thrown across the room.
"Look what you did." Jasper said looking down at his shirt. "You made me spill alcohol on my favourite shirt."
"You shouldn't have done that." Blondie said getting up "You're gonna regret that."
"You're joking." Jasper said laughing. There was nothing funny about his laugh. It's like it was laced with venom. Even I got chills.
"Come on." Blondie said getting in a fighting stance. Well this wasn't gonna end well for him. I sat back and watched as a small crowd gathered.
"Okay big boy. I'm not going to fight you." Jasper said chuckling then turning to face me. He seriously wasn't gonna fight? Well that's disappointing.
"Look at him. Scaredy-cat's running back to his little bitch." Blondie laughed. Okay this guy clearly had a death wish. Jasper stopped walking at that comment and turned around slowly.
"What did you just call her?" He asked lowly. Blondie apparently found his reaction funny and laughed. Seriously dude he is going to kill you.
"You heard me. She's a little...." Blondie didn't even finish his sentence. Jasper's hand was around his neck in a second.
"You see I was going to let you walk away. I've had a really shitty day as it is. I wasn't planning to murder anyone, again. But you went ahead and called my girl a b***h. It's only wise that I, you know, defend her honour."
Blondie struggled in Jasper's grip. His face turning blue. Poor guy. Wait did Jasper just call me his girl? Blondie squirmed some more as if trying to say something.
"I'm sorry I can't hear you, what was that?" Jasper asked his grip visibly tightening. Okay I had to stop this. That look in his eyes told me he was going to kill him. I walked up to them and put a hand on Jasper's free hand.
"Come on let's get out of here." I told him. He looked at me momentarily before slowly letting go of blondie.
The poor guy started gasping for air. Jasper apparently wasn't done with him just yet. He grabbed the back of his neck and put him in a kneeling position in front of me.
"I want you to say sorry for ruining her night. Then I want you to say thank you because she just saved your ass." Jasper said forcing him to look up at me.
"I-i-i'm...."
"Yeah yeah you're an idiot." I said waving him away. I grabbed Jasper's hand and dragged him out of the club.
We got out into the busy streets and started walking around. Jasper was still quite. He was acting all grumpy like a child that's been told he can't have a toy he wanted. I sighed and shook my head.
"You could have killed him you know." I said.
"That's what I was going for." He said frowning. I couldn't help but laugh at his serious expression.
Jasper looked at me like I had just grown another head. I stopped walking and held onto him for support still shaking with laughter. A small smile crept into his face and he shook his head.
"You are so weird." He said chuckling softly.
"I know isn't it wonderful." I said remembering he had used the same line on me. He smiled a genuine smile and put his arm over my shoulder.
"So what do you wanna do?" He asked as we continued walking down the street.
"Well.... I haven't been here in five years. What do you usually do when you came here?" I asked. He smiled at my question.
"Let me show you." He said dragging me into an ally and flashing us out of sight.
