Thalia
I hadn't bothered changing into my clothes because Jasper said I wouldn't need to.He parked the car in front of a huge beach house and stepped out of the car. I got out as well and followed him inside. The place had a private beach and a, bigger than my old room, swimming pool. We had just entered the house when someone spoke up from the stars.
"Look what we have here. I'd say this is a surprise but I kind of saw you coming." Turning towards the voice I saw a blond bombshell make his way down the stairs.
"If I had known you'd be here I.." Jasper started.
"Wouldn't have come? I know." He smiled waving Jasper away. "Axel King. Jasper's friend."
" I didn't know he had any." I scoffed.
"Well I assure you Miss Rivers, he has quite few."
"You know who I am?" I asked shaking his hand.
"Of course." Axel said letting go.
"Hey Axel, can I talk to you for a minute?" Jasper asked.
"No. How about I show you around Thalia?" He smiled offering me a hand then leading me away from a scowling Jasper.
"I'd like that." I laughed letting him drag me.
Axel looked young and he had a certain glow to him. With the right haircut he could pass as eighteen. Right now he looked like he was Jasper's age. Not like I knew how old he was. He looked like he was Twenty seven most days. Twenty four if you looked at him at an angle. Knowing Jasper this guy was probably over a thousand years old. How old was Jasper anyway?
"How long have you known Jasper?" I asked
"All his life." He answered still smiling. That smiling thing was getting creepy now. He had a nice smile don't get me wrong. I just wasn't used to smiley guys. They threw me off. No one is ever that happy.
"So that means...."
"I'm older and therefore wiser? Yes."
"Oh. You don't look all that immortal." I said.
"I'm glad." He laughed.
"What are you the god of?" Getting to the point. It was probably something small or happy. Like the god of rainbows or something. Was there a god of rainbows in Greek mythology?
"I could tell you." He shrugged.
"But then you'd have to kill me."
"If I touched even a single hair on your head Jasper would throw me into Tartarus." He laughed.
"Well Axel sorry but Thalia and I need to leave now." Jasper said pulling me away from Axel.
"But.." I started.
"Don't worry Thalia. I'll be seeing you soon." Axel smiled before vanishing in thin air.
"Come on." Jasper grumbled pulling me away.
When we got to the hotel I walked out of the car and into the hotel still in my bikini. I could feel eyes on me but ignored them as I got into the elevator. Jasper got in after me and pressed the button for our floor. We faced each other and I found myself sighing. He was being a total buzzkill.
"I was having fun you know." I said. He scoffed at that making me roll my eyes.
"Clearly." He mumbled. I almost didn't hear it.
"Didn't you bring me here to have fun?" I asked.
"I did." He said simply. He started walking towards me.
"So..."
"I brought you here to have fun with me."
"What if I don't want to have fun with you?" I asked.
"I don't like sharing." He said when he was right in front of me his minty breath fanning my face.
"You know you don't own me right." I whispered looking him in the eye. His hands made their way to my waist.
"Oh but I do Thalia. I own every inch of you." He whispered in my ear. My response got stuck in my throat because he started kissing my neck.
I could have pushed him away. I should have pushed him away. But I my body had apparently disconnected itself from my brain. My hands wrapped around his neck almost immediately. He trailed his kisses lower before he bit my skin near my collarbone. An involuntary moan left my mouth making him groan and pull me closer.
He lifted me off the ground and pined me to the wall. He looked me in the eye and I could see pure lust swimming in his. They were almost completely black. His unnerving gaze setting my skin on fire. His lips met mine and he kissed me hard. I kissed back almost instantly. Completely unable to stop myself. He deepened the kiss with a growl and I was suddenly off the wall.
I felt myself get dropped onto soft sheets. He had flashed us onto his bed in the hotel room. He hovered over me my legs still wrapped around his waist. Both of us trying to calm our frantic breathing but not letting go of each other. He leaned down our lips only inches apart when someone cleared their throat. Jasper stopped and turned in the direction of the noise. He smirked at the person still blocking my view.
"You have horrible timing Amelia." He said. I froze.
Oh s**t.
"Can I please talk to you in private?" She asked through clenched teeth.
"I don't want to talk to you in private Amelia." He said rolling off me.
"Please sir." She sighed in irritation.
Groaning he got off me and left the room with Amelia following close behind. I got up and made my way to the bathroom. I needed a shower. What was I even thinking kissing him back? He was the enemy. I had to remember that. I couldn't let him distract me. Even though he was a much needed distraction.
I changed into some proper clothes and waited for Amelia to leave. I wasn't in the habit of eavesdropping. I respected peoples privacy. It's better to not know sometimes. Once I was certain she had left I stepped out of the room. All I have to do is keep some much needed distance between us and everything will be fine.
