Dinner News

Everyone got washed up for dinner, while Cat and Pal cooked.

They sat down at the table, Pal, Cat and kolton sat on once side while Liam Karyssa and Zack sat on the other. Conversation was light topics like school and if Zack was excited to go back, if Kolton was excited to start and of course Zacks answer was no while Koltons was yes.

Light and breezy were the topics until Zack spoke up asking his own question.

"So, Karyssa, are you going to be my new Aunt, I saw Uncle Liam kiss you yesterday."

Karyssa and Liam both glanced at each other and before they could say anything Kolton spoke up.

"Does that mean Aunt K is going to have a baby?" He asked. Cat chuckled and Pal about choked on his bite of food.

"Umm." Was all anyone could say there was an awkward silence at the table.

"No, Kolton, I'm not going to have a baby." Karyssa said breaking the silence. "They type of kiss that makes a baby is a special kiss between mommy's and daddys." She said trying to avoid the topic. "As for you Zack, it was just one kiss."

"Well he was smiling like a goof until he got the call from you last night." Zacks rebuttal made Liam blush a little but Liam still sat there in shock.

"Can't a man just be happy things are going in the right direction?" Pal spoke up throwing Liam a life preserver.

"I guess." Zack humped "if she's not going to be my new aunt does that mean your still marrying Sugar?" He asked. Karyssa's eyes widened with shock as she looked over at Liam, who's face matched her own.

"Who told you I was marrying Sugar?" Liam asked Zack the whole table got quite waiting for Zacks answer.

"Well Sugar did. I'm not going to lie I was hurt that you didn't even tell me you were getting serious let alone engaged." Zack sadly said.

"What do you mean getting serious, I've never went out with Sugar, never kissed her or anything." Liam made sure he was looking right into Karyssas eyes so she new that was more for her benefit than Zacks.

"That's not what Sugar said. And since she's not going to be my aunt does that mean I can stop doing the chores she tells me to do?" No more Zacks question left his mouth, Liams whole face got serious. The energy in the room shifted.

"What chores is she making you do sweety?" Cat chimed in. We all new it was a question that had to be asked.

"She makes me take out the trash, wash all the dishes on days Unc isn't there, I have to Scrub the bathrooms and sweep and mop the pool room." Zacks answer did not help Liam calm down. "And that's on top of what Unc has me do." He glanced over to Liam, "you know pick up my room, take my laundry to Missy(who is another club bunny), sweep and mop my room. I've barely got to do anything fun this summer, I've been to busy cleaning."

You could practically see the fumes coming out of Liams ears.

"What do you mean haven't gotten to do anything fun I thought Sugar was taking you places with her neice and nephew?" Liam questioned.

Zack glanced around you could see that he looked as though he wanted to cry. What did this woman do to make a 10 year old boy want to break down and cry.

"Umm... she told me not to tell you or when she became my aunt I was going away like mom and dad did." Tear brimmed the corners of his eyes. Cat gasped. Liam shot up and walked out of the house.

Karyssa tapped on Zacks shoulder to get his attention, the tears had escaped and were going down his cheeks.

"How about you come to the living room and we finish this talk okay?" She stretched out her hand for him to take and they walked to the living room.

"Sweetheart, your Uncle Liam loves you very much and would never send you away especially like your mom and dad did. You know that right." Karyssa reasurred Zack.

"Yeah, I do but she was just very certain that it would happen I was starting to questioned l." He mumbled.

"So why don't you tell me what she didn't want you to know and then we can let your Uncle know." She said with a smile.

" He would give her money to take us on trips and while Karry and Conner were having fun I had to sit in one spot where she could watch me, sometimes I didn't get to eat and we would be gone all day." He went on to tell her how Sugar would treat him during the trips and at the club. No wonder he wanted to cry, Karyssa was on the verge of crying when he got done.

If Liam doesn't handle Sugar, Karyssa sure would.

"Zack, I want you to know a few things okay. 1. You will never have to deal with her again I promise you that. 2. If I did become your aunt I would never expect you to clean like that, would you have chores? Yes, but that helps teach responsibility and they would be age appropriate and not everyday. 3. Your Uncle loves you and you can tell him anything at anytime, if an adult isn't treating you a way you think is good or asked you to keep a secret like that or involves your health or well-being never keep it to yourself. 4. I'm going to plan a fun day for me you Liam and Kolton before school starts." As she told Zack the list of things he had laid down and laid his head on her leg.

"I hope you do become my aunt I see how much Kolton loves you and how well you treat him." Karyssas heart shattered. They sat there for a few minutes and she realized he had fallen asleep. Liam came into the living room. He held up his phone indicating he wanted to text and not wake Zack up yet.

Liam- what did he say after I left?

Karyssa- oh Liam, that B*tch is horrible to him. He.never gets to have anyfun when they are out and sometime she doesn't let me eat even if they are gone all day she threatens to send him off all the time. And that's not even the half of it.

Liam- she's being dealt with.

Karyssa- do I even want to know?

Liam- Rocky and Blues are making sure she is out of the club by morning and she's banned from all businesses and sister clubs. I don't want Zack to ever see her again.

Karyssa- why don't you guys stay here tonight or at least in the apartment with me, it's getting late and after everything you don't need to drive.

Liam glanced up from his phone curiously and nodded his head yes.

Liam- well I appreciate it are you sure?

Karyssa- yeah. Come help me with him so I can go get the couch ready for him.

Liam walked over and picked Zack up careful not to wake him. Zack stirred for a second then settled as they walked to the apartment. Karyssa grabbed a blanket and pillow from the linden closet when they got in the livingroom area and laid the pillow down Liam laid Zack down carefully and then Karyssa placed the blanket on top of him.

She nodded her head for Liam to follow her. They walked into the bedroom and Karyssa couldn't hold back the tears anymore.

"No child should ever have to go throw that." She whispered.

"It's my fault I should have talked to him more made it more clear that he could talk to me." Liam whispered back you could tell by looking at him he felt defeated.

Karyssa walked over to him and hugged him.

"It's not your fault it's hers I swear I don't know what I'll do if I ever see her again" Karyssa said. "By the way I promised Zack that me you him and Kolton would plan something fun before school started."

"That's fine. I need to do something special to make it up to him."

They sat on the bed and planned what they were going to do eventually sitting turned to laying. Laying turned into Liam falling asleep. Karyssa walked over to the side of the bed Liam was on and took off his riding boots and laid a throw blanket over top of him. Walked over to the empty side of the bed and got in so she could go to sleep for the night. She no more turned off the lamp beside her bed, Liam turned over and wrapped his arm around her cuddling her and whispered

"Thank you."
