Kimberly made her way out of the Bernardi Corporate building, smiling from ear to ear. She was feeling quite happy with herself, knowing that she was the front-runner to becoming Mr. Victor Bernardi’s new assistant. She knew she had all the credentials. She was attractive, smart, and a Princeton graduate. Not to mention her extensive knowledge of corporate law from her paralegal days in California and, last but not least, the wife of said business tycoon, Mrs. Isabella Bernardi liked her. These particular facts made her an automatic shoo-in for the position. She walked a short distance away from the corporate building and into the alley. She saw the waiting black Escalade she was expecting and opened the back door. She took a seat next to her conspirator.
