Dawn came too fast. I was still wrapped in Colossus’s arms when the knock came — sharp, urgent. Rogue’s voice was tight. “Prez wants everyone in the main room. Now. Reapers left another package.” Colossus growled low in his throat, the sound vibrating through his chest against my back. “They don’t know when to quit.” His massive hand slid over my bare stomach, pulling me tighter against him. “Five more minutes.” I turned in his arms, tracing the scar on his collarbone with my fingertip. “Five minutes and we might not leave this bed.” His gray eyes darkened, that rare crooked smile appearing. “Dangerous woman.” He kissed me slow and deep, tongue teasing mine, one huge hand cupping the back of my head like I was something precious and breakable. When he pulled back, his voice was rough.
