12 “Where are we going, Edie,” Pryce asked. He was not going to push or encourage. He was going to let her decide. If she asked him to take her home, he would, without a second thought. If she asked him to take her to his place, he would do everything in his power to not lose his damn mind on the way there. “Do you have a roommate?” she whispered. Pryce shook his head. “I do not.” “Then I think you should show me your place.” Pryce nodded once, then shifted the SUV into gear. He pulled out of the parking lot with far more patience than he felt inside. He wanted to speed down the street and get her into his place as soon as possible, but he was not going to rush.
