We sat around the huge dining table, with him at the head and me at the other end. The scent of the food was making my stomach rumble and I was ready to dig in.
"Thank you for agreeing to have dinner with me. I know the situation between us isn't relationship worthy but I'm very grateful you said yes and came." He raised his wine glass, "Here's to a new beginning." I raised mine and took a sip.
"Now that all of that is out of the way, how about we dig in, all this food is driving my stomach crazy." He laughed heartily throwing back his head.
