Julian wasn’t in the mood to speak to me, he kept on staring into space, shedding tears, then wiped it off right away. I walked quietly to his side and sat, slowly taking my hands to draw over his shoulders but he grabbed it and slowly pulled it away.
“I’m sorry, your highness.” He bowed before turning to look at me. “You have already shown me my place, and I won’t be getting off it again, with due respect.”
His words went slow, firm and tormenting. I arched my brows. “What do you really mean?” I felt my heart cut. He slowly raised up his head, then smiled.
