Reina’s POV I stayed by the window long after Julian left. The estate was quiet, heavy with an eerie stillness. My chest rose and fell in silence, as though my body itself was tired of holding it all in. I touched my lips again, remembering the kiss. The knock on the door came just before dawn. A cleaner entered quietly. “Miss Reina,” she said softly, bowing. “The helicopter won’t be arriving today. There’s a weather delay. Heavy winds in the east. Your departure has been postponed.” I nodded, saying nothing. She left as quietly as she came. A part of me should have been relieved. One more day before I was thrown into a world I didn’t know.
