Chapter 50

1124 Words

Third POV Julian had barely slept. He had stayed close, his arm draped protectively over her waist, his face buried in her hair. When she shifted against him, he opened his eyes instantly, sharp instincts as a mate kicking in. “Morning,” he murmured, his voice deep and rough, still edged with sleep. Reina turned her face toward him, her lips brushing his jaw. “Morning,” she whispered, though her voice broke slightly, already laced with need. Her body betrayed her, heat rushing back with a vengeance. She closed her thighs tighter, embarrassed at how quickly it returned. Julian caught it instantly. He tipped her chin up so she would meet his eyes. “It’s starting again, isn’t it?” he asked softly, though his body was already responding too, hardening just from the closeness of her scent.
