Staying at Elles’ has been wonderful. I eat amazing food and having your roommate as also your schoolmate is the best thing ever.
A few petty arguments here and there about our living conditions but at the end of the day we always find a common ground, thankfully. Today being one of our petty argument days
“Kris, please will you get out of there. I need to go too”
“Elle just calm down, five more minutes and I’ll be out”. This girl is so impatient
“Kris we’re going to be late for class and I also need to freshen up before we leave you know”. Oh true I forgot about that.
We have morning lectures today and I’ve been in the toilet reading E-books and totally forgetting about that. I have to stop this bad habit.
Getting out of the toilet, I see Elle standing with her hands on her waist looking livid. Smiling sheepishly, I scoot sideways away from her reach because I just know she’s tempted to grab my hair. Walking away, I hear her yell as she rushes into the toilet
“Kris we’re going to have a serious talk about this annoying habit of yours or else I’m going to grab your hair one day” giggling I reply
“Anything for you, love”.
Going into our room, I get dressed in something simple, a thigh length skirt with a crop top and sneakers to finish, all in black because who doesn’t love black. I style my hair in two buns and fancy it with some fancy hair clips.
Done being ready, I’m waiting for Elle. The thing about me is that I love wasting time but I hate waiting for people. We’re late and Elle isn’t even done in the bathroom yet. Well sorry to Mr John, looks like we’re going to be late to that psychology 101 class today.
Studying at Rigdewood College is like a dream come true. I’d seen promotions for their high school online but I was past that level and then I decided to check if they had a college too and surprisingly they did. Checking it out it all sounded so right and I’d always wanted to come here. I started working on seeing if I could get here, getting help from officials at my high school I graduated from. Sending in the required documents and applying for visa, I was so anxious throughout. As much as I didn’t have much hope, I also didn’t want to be disappointed. After much prayers and sleepless nights, I got that beautiful email and an official of the school called me. Good news back to back, I was immediately considered for their scholarship and I got 100% scholarship plus I got my student visa all in a year. It was starting to feel like a fairy tale and I was scared that I’d wake up and it’d turn out to be one of my elaborate dreams. But I got everything and by a land fall, the finance for moving here was secured. To say I was elated would be an understatement, I was shocked beyond reason and scared. Scared of failing after all the effort I put in, I was almost tempted to not come, but with a little push from my parents I got on that plane to achieving my dreams.
Now I’m here and I’m running late, dang.

Hey it’s me, the author of this book. This is my first ever book so it’s not going to be very good but I had a plan for this book so I’m going to see it to the end. This chapter is very short for some reasons I can’t explain but the next chapter would be much longer, promise. Please comment if you can and I really hope you enjoy reading this. If you have an idea on how this story should advance please feel free to share in the comments, I might just adopt them. Thanks again for reading this, I really appreciate.
