11 Fear in All

Savon's POV "How's the clean up going, Jaxxon?" "We did away with the body before any of the pack members could see. I still can't believe she took down a lycan. She has some serious skills." I smile with pride. My mate is fierce and something to reckoned with judging by her size and the dead lycan. "Yeah, the pack will be happy to have her as their Luna." "Congratulations on finding your mate, sir." He pats me on the back and smiles. Jaxon and I have known each other since we were pups. We grew up having each other's backs, and he knows more than anyone, how long I've searched for my mate. "Thanks, man." He walks towards his room, and I enter mine. I can still smell her, and it's driving me insane. The urge to go in her room and mark her is so strong that I can't control myself. I jump into the shower and let the cold water attack my body. I stroke my erected member trying to relieve some pressure. I image her soft lips wrapping around my manhood and while fondling with her breasts. I wish I could be inside her and see her reaction as I pound into her. I want to know what she sounds like when she moans. I finally find my release. I finish washing up before drying off and throwing on some shorts to lay down in. I lay there with my mind in a frenzy. "Chloe" I like the sound of her name on my tongue. It's perfect and sounds right, like this is meant to be. My mind drifts back to when she was crying and I ball my fists. My blood starts to boil as I let out a low growl and say aloud, "Who dares hurt my mate? When I find them, they're going to wish they did right by her." ROMAN'S POV "Alpha, Scout Leader Russell and his team just arrived." "Bring them in." Nate, my new beta, nods and goes to fetch the incompetent group of men that call themselves scouts. My anger is boiling over and I'm constantly fighting for control against Arlong, my wolf. I sit in my chair behind my desk contemplating where Shadow could run off to. She doesn't have friends or family and doesn't have much knowledge about the surrounding packs, so where could she go? I'm brought out of my thoughts when I hear a knock at the door and opens to reveal Nate escorting the scout team in my office. I get up from my seat, rolling up my sleeves and walking to the front of my desk to lean against it. Russell steps forward and I can see him trembling. I can smell his fear as if it were sprayed on. His voice even comes out shaky as he greets me. I love that people fear me. It gets me off seeing them panic as fright consumes them. I didn't need people to fear me to rule over them, though it is a perk, I want people to fear me because it fuels me. Their screams, their pleas are my drug and I can't get enough. "Russell, explain to me why you are in my face empty-handed, again." "Alpha, we loo-" I hold my hand up to silence him. " I don't want your excuses. I'm paying you to locate that measly she-wolf and find Khan. Yet, you've managed to do neither. What the f**k am I paying you for Russell?" He holds his head down not once meeting my gaze "I apologize Alpha. I swear to you that we're not giving up and that we will find her as soon as possible." My hands cover my face then slides down as I mentally curse myself for not searching for her myself. I fold my arms over my chest as I look at the men in silence. I tilt my head to the side and flash them a smile. I'm feeling a bit generous. "Tell you what, Russell, I'll give you 48 hours to bring back the she wolf, unharmed." I emphasize the word unharmed to get my point across. No one is to lay a hand on her. "Here's a little motivation." I swiftly grab the gun that has been tucked behind me, in my pants. It's loaded with silver bullets, lethal to werewolves. Before anyone could blink, I randomly shot one of Russell's team members in the head. I watch as his lifeless body falls to the ground, leaving a crimson puddle that's most certainly going to stain my new and expensive rug. I walk back to my desk to put the gun down and then turn to watch the color drain from their faces, the horror that fills their eyes, the fear that is consuming their entire being. I inhale deeply, savoring the scent of fear and panic. I love the scent, i love to hear their screams and pleas for mercy. "If you fail me again, I'll kill you and your family." My voice is cold, and my tone is hard. "Somebody clean this s**t up. And get that s**t out of my rug. I paid too much money for it to throw it away." I grab my jacket that's hanging on the back of my chair and throw it on before walking out my office. I walk down the hall and take the stairs to the first floor filled with pack members. I exit the pack house and walk up to my black Rolls-Royce SUV, getting into the back seat. After I get settled in, I look into the rear view mirror, locking eyes with my driver. "Go to Deadman Village. I need to visit an old friend." There's nothing but disdain in my voice. I know he picks up on the uneasiness in my face, but he doesn't pry. He starts the engine and jumps into traffic. I haven't been to Deadman Village in decades. I promised myself that I wouldn't return, and yet here I am, going voluntarily. Deadman Village is a dark place. Even the most ruthless and most feared creatures avoid that place. I was introduced to Deadman Village by my mother when I was a pup. I f*****g hate that place. Just the atmosphere is frightening and is making me stiff as the dreadful memories of my past flash through my mind. For the first time, in a long time, I am afraid and can feel the fear eating at my insides. Now I see what my victims go through...
