I seek revenge

908 Words
"Please, Please, don't hurt him" were the pleas of Anabel as she was being held down by a sturdy man. Anabel cries and pleas fell deaf ears to the boy who was pointing a gun at her father's head. This was the end of her peaceful life, she was never going to see her father again, the one man whose smile always brightened up her world would soon be gone forever. Louis laid unconscious after being hit on the head with a barrel gun, she was unable to console her daughter, and the man she promised to spend the rest of her life with will soon be gone. "Shoot him" a voice came from a man wearing a leather coat and black trousers with a face just like the devil. Delvin had convinced his son Dylan to shoot. "Bang" a body was already on the floor, Anabel had just witnessed the death of her father. It had crippled her, the tears that were flowing unceasingly, stopped, as she could no longer cry anymore. Dylan stood there with no remorse in his eyes. For a little boy, he had already faced much worse and he could no longer feel pain, not even for the young girl who was crying. Delvin stood up like a proud father and walked out with his son and cartel. After witnessing the death of her father, only one word rang in Anabel's head "Revenge", she ran out to catch a glimpse of those killers once again but only the plate number of their car was seen as they drove off. Keeping it at the back of her mind, Anabel returned back to the house, only then did she realise that Louis wasn't up yet. For a kid who was 11, she already knew how to handle emergency situations, she picked up her Louis phone and dailed 911. At the hospital, the doctors were deliberating on how they would tell an 11 year old who had just lost her father that her mother would never be sane again. Dr Fred, the chief doctor walked up to the little girl who was seating patiently at the waiting area with her hands on her head. "Hello young girl" he said, Anabel raise her head to look at a man in his mid sixties. "Hello Dr, how is my mom?" Anabel asked as she studied the worried expression on Dr Fred face. Most kids were naive but Anabel wasn't, she knew something was wrong when the doctors were avoiding to give her any useful information concerning Louis. "Well you see, your mom suffered a concussion and there is a major damage in her brain, she will never be able to think properly again, or act sane unless a miracle happens. I am so sorry" Dr Fred felt extremely terrible for the young girl in front of him. Anabel pushed her head back and looked at the ceiling, " Why does it have to be me?" Just as she was about to see Louis, she noticed people in uniform walking towards her. "Hello kid, my name is Maria , I am from the child protection services, would you like to come with us, we have other kids who are just about your age" Maria said. The look on Anabel's face frightened Maria, she stared at her like she was the last person she wanted to see in this world, she couldn't help but feel guilty. "Do you want to take me away from my mother while she is still alive?". Anabel's question not only made Maria dumbfolded but also the doctors. "I'm sorry but I cannot follow you. I have someone to take care of, and we have a relative that we stay with" Anabel added and then walked into Louis ward. Maria discussed a bit with Dr Fred and decided to come back on the day Louis would be discharged. At the Vin's mansion, a young boy took off his gloves, washed his hands and headed to the sitting room. "Dylan, my son, I am more than proud of you today, you have proven to me that you can take care of this cartel when I am gone" Delvin said cockingly as he looked at his son with so much admiration. He had failed in protecting his wife and promised to make sure his son doesn't make the same mistake. At age 10 he had taught Dylan how to fight and defend himself. At 12, he taught him how to pull the trigger and how to think like a Tyrant. At 15 he had handed over his company to Dylan. And today, he taught his son how to take one's life with no mercy. There was no turning back for Delvin, living a peaceful life had never wanted him, he was also seen in the wrong places at the wrong time, life had pushed him to being rough and hard. Delvin raised his son to be a tyrant, to be fearless, he knew that he had a lot of enemies and they would want to exploit him using his son, so he turned his son into the devil instead. Dylan was not like other kids, he never liked school, or playing with friends, or any other stuffs that kids do. At age 12, he lead a heist in a local bank and came out successful with zero casualties. He was the apple of Delvin eyes, his Golden prize.
