Chapter 9 TODAY WAS A TYPICAL day for most everybody as the low and consistent rumble of a city in motion suggested. That unassuming sound of millions of people going about their daily business. It provided a calming effect similar to the sound of rain or wind. But within that quiet blur of white noise was death occurring at an alarming rate. It’s a fact that almost sixty-four hundred deaths occur each hour within the United States alone. Roughly fifty of them are confirmed murders while an average of eight hundred thousand are reported missing each year. Among the missing is Robert Brady. Bobby, as his mother called him, has been missing since 1981. He was just 15 at the time. Bobby was at a movie theater with a few friends from his high school.
