JEFF AND I SAT DOWN later at a local coffee shop for a rundown of my notes and thoughts. I explained I felt Cyndi was a victim of drugs. She exhibited all the common signs associated with addiction and her inability to face her current situation only strengthened my observations. I did notice her unique way of explaining things, very quickly and in short spurts. At some points things came out in a word salad, like an extreme case of schizophasia. Perhaps she was still using drugs in jail. I told Jeff that I also found it strange that she gave me a complete overview of her life, as I put it, like the rewind on a tape machine.
