Chapter 3 I HAD NO DESIRE TO finish out my scheduled interviews at the university. It was a dead story as far as I was concerned but I kept my appointments, nonetheless. Throughout the day I met some nice kids, excited to be fully engaged in college life and even more excited to be at the start of their career adventures. All I could think about was the abandoned kitchen cooking up human remains a mere thirty miles east of here. But as stroke of fate (maybe luck) would have it my work at the university ended abruptly. I was asked to leave by senior faculty. It seems I did not have the proper authority to be conducting these types of interviews with the student body.
