Mates,Mates,Mates!!

today is going to be extremely busy we have another pack coming to visit. they'd recently been attacked by rouges and their houses burned to the ground there hadn't been this brutal attack in forever.

however it happened we offered them shelter as the alpha had called late last night begging for a place to bring his pack till their homes were rebuilt. me and Mason were in my room and as expected he was angry when he found out I'd watched an episode without him. damn Ryder.

anyways it was an extremely boring and long day. me and Mason eventually decided that it was time to go down to lunch and meet the pack that was joining us. on the way down I noticed mason space out. I ignored it at first but after a while I stopped and grabbed his arm giving him a confused look.

he assures me he is fine and was just day dreaming I'm skeptical but say nothing. we reach the dining room with pack members smiling and waving at me as I wave back. some bow their heads in respect which makes me smile broadly. when we make it to the end of the table we sit.

this is when I noticed that Mason was still acting weird he was looking around and sniffing the air. that's when it hits me and I feel my eyes widen. s**t masons mate is here I know that look. it had been the one I had on my face when I smelled Ryder. I'm happy for him he's been waiting a long time.

**Mason's POV***

In my mind I can tell Sofia knows something is up but that scent I can't get it out of my head and the closer we got to the dining room the more I smelled it. it smelled like Lilly's and gardenia. so sweet. when we sit down the smell becomes incredibly stronger as I look around. when I look over Sofia has wide eyes.

I'm confused as she looks like she just figured something out I didn't know. just then the door opens to reveal a woman and the smell is coming from her. "mate!" my wolf howls. the woman looks sad and horrified at the same time.

what why does she look like that is there something wrong with me? then I get it as I look down and see that the woman I waited so long for and hoped for secretly everyday was pregnant. my mate was pregnant with another males pup.

I stand and walk towards her as she looks at me frightened. with tears in my eye I ask her the one thing I can think of. "why? why did you not wait for me as I have waited for you? didn't you want to find me?" I ask but get no response. she looks down ashamed.

"pardon me beta but might I explain?" her alpha asks me bowing his head. I look towards him and give a firm nod. "during an attack a few months ago a rouge found her fleeing in the woods and then..." he says trailing off. I growled at this ready to tear whoever dared touch my mate limb from limb. "we found her barely conscious with him on top of her getting ready to end her we got there and killed him before he could but by then it was too late."

my wolf was in a fury determined to keep this girl and her pup safe from everything and everyone. suddenly feeling protective over the pup my wolf growled "mine" surfacing to the top. he walked towards her taking her into our arms. she looks up at me before bursting into tears.

I scoop her up carrying her up to my room and setting her on the bed before looking at her " I hope you know that this affects nothing okay I'm fully prepared to take care of you and this pup my wolf thinks of him as his own." I tell her. "what's your name?" I ask. "bella. what's yours?" I smile "bella." I repeat. "my name's Mason."

she smiles and I feel instantly happier knowing I made her smile.

I could tell she was fragile and knew she wouldn't be up for anything physical yet but I offered to let her stay in my room and she nodded happily. I can also tell she isn't much of a talker. which is okay I can talk enough for both of us I mean I certainly do for Sofia. though I don't think she really needs the help.

bella is different from most of the she-wolves and I like it. she is quiet and has a rare kind of beauty she is absolutely perfect for me. the Lord knew what he was doing when he gave me her. must know I'll take care of her the way she deserves and treat her like the queen she is. I'll start working on it now and on boosting her confidence.

I think she and Sofia would get along great Sofia is silent and strong a badass but also very sweet when she wants to be and always down for a laugh. bella is also quiet and speaks very little she is soft and very shy and emotional yet I can tell she's not a pushover she just needs someone to get her out of her shell and show her how beautiful she is.

I smile and graze my hand to her face smiling as she leans into my touch. "I wanna introduce you to Sofia the Luna she's the best. you'd like her and I'm sure she'd love to go shopping for baby clothes with you if you'd like. she's very friendly and she happens to be my best friend." I tell her smiling. she looks happy at this " you think so that'd be great everything I had got burned with my house." she tells me and I feel extremely bad. " well you can be here with me now. we share this floor with them we are the only ones on this floor. I'm sure they could give us a nursery and we will get new stuff for the pup. trust me sof likes any reason to spend time with pups."

bella smiles and yawns,blushing while looking up at me shyly. I smile and pat the pillow behind her. "You're tired you should sleep I'll talk to her about it in the morning and see when we can get the nursery done. and about your shopping trip" she nods before curling up and drifting off to sleep. I tuck her in and lay down next to her. smiling ear to ear before drifting off as well.
