An important meeting

(Greyson POV) 2 WEEKS LATER Gabriella had been acting strange the last couple of weeks. I could feel through our bond that something was off but I couldn't put my finger on it. She was killing herself by training constantly. Draining her energy but using her powers to the point she passes out. I had caught her several times muffling herself crying in the bathroom when she thought she was alone. She refused to leave Jordan for even a second. I was surprised she didn’t take her to the bathroom with her he had become so insanely possessive over her. She even insisted we take her to train with us. When we made love, she seemed eager and desperate. Like she couldn’t get me close enough to her, and her mood fell as soon as I would remove myself from her. She had insisted daily we do something special as a family. I had told her she was exhausted and it could wait for w ha the rest of eternity together but she has been adamant so every day we spend a few hours with Jordan going on picnics or walks in the woods. we couldn’t do much as we were confined to the Coven land but we found ways. My phone rang in my pocket interrupting my thoughts as I cleaned up the mess we had made during training. I had taken Gabriella and Jordy home and came back to straighten up. It was an excuse to get some alone time. I needed to think and clear my mind and Try to figure out what was wrong with my mate. She had cut me from the mate bond only allowing me to ask questions like, where are you? I looked at my phone screen and (Unknown Caller) flashed on the screen. I started to push it back down in my pocket but thought better of it and hit the green answer button. "Greyson here.' I answered as I always did. "Is this Gabriella Briers's husband?" a female voice on the other end asked. "Who is asking?" I demanded. "My name is Rebecca Michaels and I am assistant to Count Lucifer. I must speak with Gabriella." she insisted but rage flowed through me. "Who the f**k do you think you are calling my wife," I growled at her my voice trembling from anger. "Sir please I have a proposition that could help us both I only need to meet with you to explain I can't do it here," she whispered. "Gabriella will meet you nowhere. How do I know I can trust you?" I asked Rebecca. "I guess you don’t sir, but I’m truly only trying to help us both. If the count finds out about my fiancé, he will kill him," she whispered. "Meet me at The Den in half an hour. Ask for Kyle Harris' room." I told her before hanging up the phone and shoving it in my pocket. Without informing Gabriella I made my way to the run-down motel on the edge of town to meet the strongest and oldest vampire Alice’s assistant alone. I pulled up to the motel the neon light flashing overhead that read (The Den We Rent By The Hour No ID Required) only some letters had burned out and not been replaced. The motel resembled an old cabin with a motel attached to its side and was two stories tall. The front faced the road and the back was up against the forest for wolves who needed to shift and go for a run. I walked through the glass door a bell overhead announcing my arrival to the elderly woman behind the counter in her recliner watching television. She looked up squinting her eyes and smiling. I stood in front of the counter as she stood up slowly gripping the walker in front of her and making her way over to me. “Quiet Night?” I asked her pulling my baseball cap down over my eye not wanting to be recognized. “Always quiet around her.” She smiled as she patted her white curls and finally plucked a pen from behind her ear. “How can I help you handsome?” she asked her voice shaking with every word. “I need a room for the night preferably in the back,” I inform her. She bods her head reaching over to grab a key from a hook and scoots it across the counter. “Rent is 50 a night. Checkout is by 11 am. You’ll be in room 127 around back on the first floor near the end.” She explained taking the 50-dollar bill from my hand. “Sign your name here. We keep this for our logs. “ she pushed a pad full of signatures in front of me. I scribbled Kyle Harris my alias down and set down the pen. I reach into my pocket pulled out another twenty-dollar bill and slid it across the counter. “A woman is com I g to join me. She will stop by the office. Give her my room number please.” I asked her. She nodded in agreement and I made my way back to my vehicle. I pulled around back directly in front of my room and exited my vehicle. I walked up to the wooden door and I unlocked it the smell of mold hitting me in the face. I turned on the light and closed and locked the door behind me securing the chain lock. I checked for windows and back exits to which there were none. A door led to the adjacent room one I kicked myself for not renting it as well when I found it open. I stepped into the dark room and sat next to the window watching. Around 5 minutes later a woman wearing a pink velvet sweat suit, sunglasses, and a pi k ball cap made her way to the door of my room. I looked around watching and saw none sensed anyone else around. I walked back through the door back into my room and opened the door before she could knock. She walks in and sat in the corner st the small card table. I locked the door back and sat across from her. I watched as she removes her cap and glasses. Her long silky blonde gaur cascades around her shoulders and her eyes sparkled yet hid torment. I could smell her. She was not only an assistant she was a vampire and a fairly new one at that. Newborn vampires were dangerous because they were unable to stop themselves should they decide to feed on a human. “Thank you for meeting me.” She looked down at the table unwilling to meet my eyes. I nodded my head, “Start explaining.” I growled. “Right, well, 3 years ago I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I had just gotten engaged and had been planning the rest of my life. I was terrified of death. I was watching a reading a book on one of those pay-as-you-read apps and in it, a man changed a woman during her cancer. Or rather vampire I guess is what I should have said. “her voice was shaky as she spoke but I could sense that so far she hadn’t lied. “A friend of mine worked at the Council's office. She got me the job as Count Lucifer's assistant. For 2 years I did his budding. He touched and had his way with my body. Finally, he changed me.” She admitted finally meeting my eyes. “That’s against Supernatural law.” I remind her. She shakes her head yes. “The law doesn’t apply to him or at least he thinks it doesn’t. Anyway, him creating me means I. Sired to him. If he dies, I die. I have had to hide my fiancé because I know he would kill him. He forces me to feed from humans even though I refuse he still compels me.” She stops to take a breath. “Why are you tell I g me all of this,” I ask her. “Because I want him dead and I will help whoever does it in exchange for my sire bond to be severed.” She explains. “But that would kill you.” I remind her. “Not if it’s connected to another. I plan to change my fiancé and sire myself to him if I can find a witch willing to perform the magic.” She explains. “You ever been to his house?” I ask her knowing that is where he will be most vulnerable. “Many times. I have a blueprint of the offices and his home.” She advised me. My eyes grew wide but I tried to maintain my composure. Those blueprints were something we needed. "How do we know this isn't some sort of trick or a ploy to get to Gabriella?" I asked her. "I guess you don't but I'm just as desperate as you are to get rid of Lucifer. With him around I'll live an eternity of hell and eventually, he will kill Peter." Her voice centered as a tear slipped down her eyes. "Let me see what I can do about your sire and if it can be undone. Then I will contact you and we can make plans on what to do going forward. But should I have any inkling of a suspicion that you are screwing with me Rebecca, the count will be the least of your worries." I growl her way. She nods her head "I understand. Thank you for listening." She gasps and takes my hand shaking it. I follow her to the door and out to her car. "I look forward to hearing from you." She smiles before pulling out and heading down the highway. I on the other hand went back into the room and turned on the television making myself comfortable. I needed some time to myself. Gabriella was driving my buts. What was I going to do with her? How would I help her?
