IRIS POV
My heart is beating in my ears. I watch as the pack bows to me and the feeling is overwhelming. I wished this moment could last forever. I lift my snout, gesturing for them to stop. I knew what to do, because growing up I watched my father like a hawk. I wish he could see me now.
“PACK BARBEQUE TONIGHT TO WELCOME ALPHA IRIS!”
I change back when I hear Lucas’s voice boom from behind me. He quickly pulls his white shirt over my head and I can’t help, but smile up at him. He looked so proud. My smile widened as I felt his heart beating rapidly under my touch. This was our pack. This was our future. I am about to grab him in an embrace to thank him when I see a woman put her hand on his shoulder. I stop dead in my tracks when I see it’s Kylie. She is glaring at me
