I pecked the message out with my thumbs and hit send. Both Maggie Krenshaw and Charlie Emerson had been in town for a week. They had come to keep tabs on the Guild’s efforts to capture a key to the Piero Gate. They had stayed for Lucas’s funeral. I hoped they had not pulled up stakes yet.
It only took about two minutes to receive a reply. It contained the address of their hotel, and a time, eight o’clock.
