My spell forced the portal to the Ring open again. I took a step back from it, careful not to let the astral energy engulf me.
"What the hell are you doing?" Recca demanded. "You're going back in? Are you insane?"
"Hell no, I'm not going back in. But these astral portals only swing one way at a time. As long as I hold it open from this side, they can't come through from their side."
"And how are you planning to keep it open from miles away?"
