Human Temple. Part 2

Aeries of course had no idea about the careful plans Plague had set. Right now he had suddenly gleamed into a newly different realm, and he lost his consciousness and mind as he completely focused his mind to understand the Dao.   In front of him laid a huge plain which had surely seen better days, the riffs and weeds grew suprisingly tall almost being above his shoulders. For as far as he could see, there was only plains and weeds with few shrubs growing on it.   Knowing that time here did not in fact matter in any way, he moved slowly through this bushh. Taking in every sensation that coursed through his soul.   "Aaron, when do you think we would be selected as true knights? With the way we had trained rigorously every day... Ha Ha Am sure no one would hinder us in the last selection process."   Aeries soul shook with a feeling of nostalgia and also Unfamiliarity, With every step he took, the voices grew louder, yet he never could seem to close the distance between them.    "Edward, that isn't the reason why you should slack off okay? Getting through in the selection and becoming a true Knight is just a starting point... After that then the real contest would start. To become the number one Holy Knight! that's my dream." Another voice said solemnly, it was more hoarse than the first and seem to come from a boy who was deep in puberty, probably in his 16.       "Eh! Aaron, no fun. you know you don't play with e and Aisha again, as much as you did in the past. She still ask about you, you know, truly a shame that for the last 6 months you haven't even made a step in our djfiovk"   "T-this, Playing would cut a great deal of time from my daily training. You should know why I have to become a Holy Knight right?"   "En, It's to heal your junior sister right... Such dark fate, to be born with Cold veins. How is she coping up?"   Aeries without all the strain in his legs had finally gotten closer to the voices and he determined that it would take him less than 6 long strides to reveal the children deep in conesation.    "Sometimes, she has seizures and would find it hard to breath. Although the debts are climbing, it won't be long before I get accepted as a Knight apprentice, the pay should be able to help Mother pay off those loan sharks... But that's not all. When I become a Holy Knight, I'm going to use the Kiss of the gods to make a wish, although it's only granted twice to top Holy Knights, amd going to reach there some day soon, and then I'll heal little Sasmine.     And that's why am going to continue to train even if my legs grow weary, Because the gods never lie, because the gods will always help us humans, because the gods --"       He finally shifted the last obstructing group of weeds and moved in to another space. To his horror the sight in front of him was different from the playful atmosphere he had envisioned before.   His was in a small settlement that looked like the world most disastrous catastrophe had just decided to visit for Christmas. The brick stood upon another and even clothes were ripped to shards. The place was chill quiet that even his footsteps echoed through the entire pavement in loud Tap Tap steps.    "AAAHHHH!!"    A shout jerked him to a sprint as he closed on the person, he saw a young man of about 23 years old, and even though he had never seen this person before, he knew this was the same 16 year old who was full of conviction and strong will. He was holding a large human like doll of a girl of 17 years. He was currently in tattered armor and just like the houses here, shards of his clothing were the only thing that remained on his body.     Aeries skidded to a halt, something deep inside of him ached deeply when he saw the state the boy was in. Although he tried to symphatise with him, he could not move a finger, but instead he spoke out.    "Are you not convinced yet? There was noting you could do, there still isn't now." Through his mouth, words that he didn't mean spurted out. It was just the same as when he was revisting his past in his dreams. Here, when he spoke out, his voice was loud and octave and had a seductive tone.   "Haven't you done enough... Why me, why my family. What exactly did we do to you vermins!"     "Ha HA! You see, that's the thing... Don't you understand till now, You don't see us as beings to be worshiped, but just people. Just being inquisitive this much is an utmost crime to us... We are gods for damn sake."    "What exactly makes you so high up and illusive eh? Is it the Power you have? The World you hide yourself in? or the worship that you try so much to garner. With this my hands I am going to bash everything from you Devils"  "Of course it's both all and one. To bring it down to human terms, It's the Power we hold. Power to rule and dominate. Boy, I will let you go for now. Don't look at me like that, The only reason am doing this is because I find you very... Pitifully attractive. I have all power to take everything from you anytime, so what's the haste. HA HA HA HA!"   Aeries fell to his knees after the influence of whatever was that left him. He felt the scene changing again and hurriedly prepared himself. But still, he never could imagine what he was going to experience in the next scene.   BLOOD    The once lush field behind him had turned dripping red with littered corpses and groaning voices. Crowns, majestic swords and Pricy weapons were thrown every where like bird dumplings, Just right in front of him, the same boy had grown to a sturdy man of 40 years, although this was just his physical appearance, Aeries innately knew that he was still relatively young.    Right now though, he was pierced with three different Spears that radiated the aura of the wind, Flame and a coppery feel of Metal.     "Hey, Let with ask you a riddle. A gave up every thing I had ever owned and starved mysekf of emotions and feelings. I sacrificed my Friends, my Army... My Family all to win this Battle. Yet I failed. Tell me was I wrong, What exactly was the wrong decision I made, Where exactly did I go wrong. If it were you, How would you have done differently."   'This is the test!' Aeries became solemn and stared softly at this pitiful sight. Although it may look demeaning here and even scary, but this scene here was the same in almost every battle between hegemon forces back on earth. When people lose, they suddenly weigh every thing they had lost in the course of the battle. Their Families, their brothers... And part of them even. And they all ask this question, 'Was it worth it?   Aeries felt a closer dskfk with this man, because just like him, he had been defeated and plagued with the sense of defeat since then. Back on Earth when he tried to save his family but still met his demise, and before his time leap when he was toturingly defeated by the other three Chosen.   He calmed his mind and spoke out his thoughts.  "At the end, You were just too Weak. You lost because you were weak. If you had been stronger, then obviously the song of blood and of warriors could have been sung in your camps filled with druken jubilating men. But you lost, because of that very reason." Aeries answered with a striaght face       "You... HA HA HA! What great answer, truly if I had the strength then I wouldn't have been shaken even by ocean roars. Those schemes and betrayals could have never brought my downfall if I had the power to stand as a One man army. MY brothers would have died and I wouldn't have implicated my family. Alas,"    Aeries had a sudden bold guess and spke to confirm his thoughts. "Are you real, this scene am seeing now, It's real isn't it?"   "Smart, very smart. with my dying breath I could suceesfully peer through Space Time because of the quest to quench this sjdfipc, You are in a phatom form now, nothing could possible harm you.. well except space monsters and void protectors. Well, enough about that. I had travelled though space and floatedon te river of time for countless years and met multiple people who I asked this question, but you boy were the ver first to not shrink back and boldly state my greatest flaw. Of course I knew that, it's just that no thing about life is as easy as it seems. *Sigh* If I could successfully come out alive after this tribulaton, I think I would defintiely go into seclusion, first lock this intense rage I have for now, and when I have gain enough strength to solo against the gods, He he he he."    Aeries eyes narrowed in a fanatical light. Someone could be this strong? This was surpassing the laws of the world itself. For someone to seemingly talk to another person through a time rift anytime he wants. Supreme Master.    "It's jsut a one time thing, and the chances of finding someone in this vast expanse is extremely thin. Right, since your time is almost up, take this artifsct here before you dissappear. It would greatly boost your cultivation for some realms and would also aid you when delving into the Dao. A soul will is buried there too to help you on some said matters." He weakly raised up his hand and an artifact with a chinese jd[kdjf of four layers appeared suddenly and flew towards Aeries. The man continued " Now remember, do not believe anything the gods tell you, they aren't real gods. Remember, they aren't real gods."    "Then who are--" Before Aeries could say anything, the world world started losing colour and faded off like an ink drawing, pshing away and back to the real world, well the Human Temple he was in.   It turns out this artifact he gave me was the key to refinng this whole Human temple,   He immediately got to work and inputted his strand of conciousness subtly to the djddi that now took on the form of a spiritual treasure and was buried deep within his flaming sea of consciousness. This kdjfnd suddenly absorbed strand after strand of his consciousness and world appeared mysteriously in his mind, almost givein him a scare. '  "I says I need to form a blood connection with the whole artifact, does it mean this human pavillion is the real body of the artifact?" He dripped some blood on the alter he was sitting down on and immediately a lblinding light shot off from the Alter and erged with his soul.    He closed his eyes when series of fast codes appeared in his mind and he felt as if this entire story bulding was a limb to him, he could innaely control with just a suudne thought of impulse.    Right the barrier!' Aeries warriedly thought about the barrier that isolated him from the Old plaque and tried to bring it down, but to his surprise it shrunk in a fast rate and seemingly disappeared.   "Great treasure, Old Plaque it seems li --" Aeries was suddenly cut off by the hesterical figure of a panting Plaque.   "This, The Human Temple is being attacked!" Aeries brows forrowed in deep thought when he heard that. "Plague, I had been staying conspicious during my stay in the time dimension and did not dare come out of track or absorb time Qi, why is it that just after I went into seclusion to refine this artifact, everything had suddenly gone wrong?"   "Why are you asking me so somenly, maybe it is because you had been tracked by that Time monster I told you about- " Seeing Aeries blank, disbelivieng look Old Plaque shut up first, before sighing and proceeding to tell the 'truth' "When I suddenly saw you been conerned as you tried to refine the treasure, I had thought something must have gone wrong with the process, so when a also saw a shield of some kind growing to cover you, This old man was frightened and though Young Brat here would surely meet his demise, So I struck out to destroy the force field. But to my surprise it did not seem to even make a single c***k even after all the hits.. And even more unfortunately, the Divine Qi fluctuations had sureky attracted some mosters to this place." How would he openly tell the truth that teh main reason why he had done that was to break the protection blocking Aeries and annhilating his soul while he ahd succesfully collected the Artifact's soul.   Aeries Had a feeling that this Old man was definitely lieing but there was more pressing matters to attend to for now, so he'll let this one slid.   "Sigh, Although you still have more explanation to do, now is not the place or time, so, Why haven't dealt with it yet?"  "This, young hero, is there some thing you can do to protect us as we move, or bring us out of the Sarry river? Am afraid it;s emminent we live."   "You relaze you are talking to a Soul know right? What do you think I have in my arsenal?" " You wouldn't be still alive and carefree while coming into this palce dreaded by even Saint realm cultivators and you did not have any fluatuatuion  in your emotions jsut now to show that you must have an escape route.   If you don't use it soon though, we are both going to be extinquished, it's a freaking Holy Time  Beast!!"
