Only one thing to do

1545 Words
No matter what people say about death, what sub Quote great men wrote down, only you can understand your death.    Some people say Death is just the process, that the act differs from one person to another, but in the end, it's linked by one hard bond. They die unless it's not death.   In the end, man dies and mountains caves. Time breaks bones and washes away dreams. Death is a calling? What facade is that, the total accumulation of your life's decisions beings you to the very line which is Death, or Life.   But do you know one common thing? Everybody still thinks about the What Ifs, maybe if I'd done this or that it'll be better. Well, for some their death comes sudden. With no respect for their chants or time for them to say their prayers. Just a flag and it's all gone. Every death ends or starts here, a bang, and everything ends.   WAIT! Why am I not dead yet?'  Aeries pried his eyes open to observe his surrounding. The first thing he saw was a large shadow enough to shield the light of the sun from scorching every part of his body. How did he know that? because that's what the man with the shadow accomplished just now.  "Warri!? Thank the gods, you came just at the right time, just a second late and I could have been skewered meat. Where have you been ever since--"  "Pap-a? You need to leave now!"   Aeries choked on his words when he noticed a gaping wound on his savior's abdomen. The wound cut across to his back and green protruding veins snaked their way through as if there were alive.  'He's not going to make it! 'Aeries screamed inwardly with horror. He blanked out for a moment as he recalled the last time he felt such kind of pain, His hometown back on earth, Flames, and a dying family. He gripped tightly and tried to shakenly stand on his quaking legs. Up till now, there wasn't a minuscule amount of Qi on his body he did all of this and yet nothing, the Inverse law of Qi is this, first of all, if you have Qi in your body if you could become a god to any random commoner, a kick could bend a Five hundred Kilogram of thick Steel but if you somewhat lost your Qi, then just be a regular person or even weaker for some minutes, because when you force yourself to fight with an empty Shang, your body automatically converts your Fleshy body into energy for use.    People, in this case, notice an obvious decrease in their total mass as their muscles shrink and their eyes dilate.  "I can still, Warri, let's break a path out of here and move into those Vagabonds' make-shift territory. If we do that we can successfully -" " Do you hear yourself! Do you think we are in any aspect strong enough to fight against one of the people you call Chosen? With our current weakened state, even a 'normal' Delinquent could give us a K. O"  Aeries crunched his brow and wondered why everything wasn't happening as he wanted. There was no means they could use to directly clear a path and escape from these Hunters. He had wanted then to use the crowded and chaotic place to find a basement and go under for cover. Doesn't Warri know that they were still in the plains? Without pushing their weak bodies to where they can find nigher buildings to dod in a safe place.  He tried to protest, "But do you understand War strategies, it will be best if we follow my direction and run forward to break through this encirclement now that they aren't in the best of shape." Aries countered, fixing his eyes on the motionless Rogue and weakened Troll. Right now the only person standing was The Fool as he started attentively at Warri.   The troll was in a meditative position with a sharp sleek blade floating slowly around him. This was his shielding weapon that would be used in case of any threat. Although he couldn't direct it to attack people,  because the blade wasn't in his control, the blade could still distinguish any slightest movement near a meter for its position and attack any other person except the owner.     "You are so selfish Aeries. Your Lust for revenge has clouded every bit of mental capability you should've used. You can see that I won't be able to hold on much longer right? Don't you understand? You need to leave before I use the last bit of strength I have to cease their movement. Look at those two, they are waiting for a chance to strike, and you just wanted to give them that. Any meter outside here is a graveyard for you."  Aeries quietly watched The Fool's attentive eyes starting quietly at them, he was waiting for Warri to run out of energy before striking out freely. Troll although sitting in a position that left his vital spots open for attacks, his brows and ears still perked up occasionally to show that he was still fully conscious of his environment.   "I know this, but if I leave you'll die. Am not going to allow that. I'll stay and fight together with you." Aeries affirmed.  Warri's face looked the saddest it could be ever be when he heard this, his ugly face showed a steak of tears as he clenched his teeth in anger.    "Stupid! Am disappointed in you. Don't bring me into this conversation and act like you ever cared about me. You never did! I secretly noticed how you felt disgusted at me and would always voluntarily shift away when I talk. I remember how you had always bugged me to change this vessel because it was too 'Crappy' to follow beside you, even after I told you that couldn't.  So don't you ever act like you suddenly love me! The very person you created. I never asked for this. You were the one who woke me up and every minute of my short life was spent enduring your sarcasm and hidden mockery... Just go"  Aeries bit his tongue in anguish, why wasn't he stronger to just lift his palms and change everything. Every single thing. But time and again he just keeps falling short of people's expectations. He did so back on earth, and even now he had repeated the same mistake.   Aeries looked at his new mother charred to the bones and tears ran freely through his eyes.   "It's too late Warri, Rogue ha... Rogue has awoken!"   There was an obvious change in Rogue appearance but Aeries did not care anymore. He was tired, weak, and frustrated with everything. He preferred times when things were better. No different. When he was back on earth with his mother, although they never could afford three square meals, two was more than enough to feed their bellies. Whenever it did reach the time for dinner, they would seat at a long table and pretend to be a wealthy family with lots of love, 'Pass me the Salt', 'Pass me the roasted corn cob' was practiced frequently for no reason at all, and even if their 'passes' where common food and cheap beverages, it still put smiles on his face any and every time he remembers it.  'No..  I can't give up now, not now when I have this heavy burden pressed down on me. I must! Must win!" He sharply opened his eyes and witness a gruesome fight between Rogue and Warri. With Warri's real being one whole major realm lower than Rogue, not much could be said. With every punch or random strike from Rogue, Warri spat out blood whether he did preclude the blow or not. The Fool snaked through the fight and struck out at every opening   It struck Aeries hard when he saw the pitiful expression on Warri's face as he struggled against the pain to continue his hopeless battle against them.  'Why is he struggling this hard. His doing it for me! He's killing himself with every second just to give me one more second to stay alive. Someone I haven't been with for long. Someone I had cursed both openly and discreetly all the way here. STOP' Aeries shouted to wake up his muddled mind.   His struggle were all futile and he sat down weakly back down.  In the presence of Chaos, there you find calm.  If you don't know frustration then how can you know the importance of break through.   When you feel as helpless as fighting death, that's when you'll be reminded of the hidden strength you possess.    'If there's one thing I understand from all of this, it will be that I've greatly devalued you, SYSTEM!! To think at the end of it all, when my life is hanging on a thread like this, you'll be that one I would count one. The only one.    The Fool, Rogue... You people did not expect this right? For me to enlightened and make my comprehension surpass yours.. He he he he. In this hard-pressed time, there's only one thing to do      Do I still need to ask? Answer me! System!!!!....'
