Leaving was a no go. This was his best choice because, it hasn't been up to a day and he had almost been killed twice. There were terrifying Spirit monsters out there, a step out of this cave would bring him closer to another monster, a monster with a unknown stats.

His slight reticence had provoked a new wave of attack. This time, several of the Spirit Monster's clones rode forth with 'weapons' made from the bones of death animals.
Some of this clones had the build up of an animal, hunched back with two pairs of walking limbs.
A few though, where humans... Teens of about 14 or 15. Their eyes had no emotion but still stared fixatively at Aeries.

Seems like other Chosen had also fallen prey to this cunning monster.
Void of his Axe, Aeries had to use his fist and kicks to fend them off.
The hidden Soul Slime could be one that hates it's prey escaping from it's clutches. The troops of Wide eyed clones blocked every escape routes Aeries would've used, leaving him with the only option of forcing his way in.

Aeries hair grew some hairsbreadth longer to fall down his back, in his mind, the towering image of a mountain loomed over a still sea.
With a slight command, The mountain disintegrated and fused with his body. The movements of his his joints caused loud cracks ever so often.
“Make way for me!”

With the fusion, every punch and kick he made carried the force of a Mountain! What sort of concept is that!
The cave rumbled vigorously, cracks appearing all over. With each attack, battalions fell over and shattered to several pieces as if a kind of force had escaped from Aeries hands and moved to cause destructions.

30 of these clones flew out, a large hole appeared on the cave.

A great crater had been formed after he kicked more than 50 clones to a scattering mess of rampant energy.
Unknowingly, Aeries had reached the Cave's interior.
Nothing emerged to quell his movements, everywhere was surprisingly quiet.
“Why isn't there anything here?”
The cave had widened to a large cavern deep inside the mountain. There place was horrifyingly cold, and the only source of light was through tiny holes on the surface of the cave walls.

“ The mission is still on. But now the Spirit Soul Slime has lower stats! Could it be!?”
Only three possibilities that might have happened to it,
First was that it was continually growing weaker as it reaches it's time for evolution,
Second was that the Monster had either been in a battle and was injured, draining the Qi energy from it's body and severely weakening it.
Lastly, Aeries supposed the Clone's it made were a type of extension of it's body and defeating them meant cutting offbeat division off it's main body.
Even activating the Eye of Seth, he still did not find anything unusual in the cave.
This was understandable though, That monster had fooled him with this technique before, so it did not come as a surprise to him this time

This was something Mearle had made available to them too. Although some questions were banned from asking, the users and the right to get some answers from the system.

Aeries was in a hard place to try guessing about it, so he just asked the question

He was shaken awake by new thunderings of steps, they should be those of new clones the Soul Slime sent.

A vague scene appeared on Aeries mind, focusing closely on it, he could discern a dot of energy proportional to his exact position barely moving from his spot.
A Congested wave of even tinier dots had blanketed him and where doing their best to spray some kind of fluid on him.
This map continued down to show a terrifying Energy ball that made his own soul energy pale in comparison.
Not wasting time, He broke through their almost non existent defenses and nudged his way back to the very center.
The inner cave was exactly the same as before, but now Aeries was fully certain this was just a misconception.
The previous ball of massive energy was directly in the same spot as his. So there was no way The Soul Slime was either in front or behind.
That leaves just two places, Above him or below him.
“There you are!”
His fist bulged till it broke out from his shirt, Veins appearing all over.
He kept his breath even, before striking out with all his strength.
... He struck the ground, which buckled in, and surprisingly wriggled like a worm.

“What type of monstrosity is this —”
He was greatly mistaken. the monster wasn't hiding under the cave floor... It WAS the cave floor.
It screamed and broke out of it's hiding spot in a flurry, several huge eye balls appeared through it's skin and focused on this Stupid ant that don't know how high the heavens are.
How dare it disturb it when it was in the most important part of it's breakthrough GH!
But being caught unaware and after taking 100 percent of Aeries blow, the Soul Slime wasn't uninjured.
A huge dentation formed on its simply head, and a spray of dark green liquid kept gushing out.

“Still too high!” Might have been because of stories he had read, but weren't slimes always Onion shaped? with a bobbling wiggly figure... This slime though, looked nothing alike!
In fact it should be called an octopus! Only not with the many tentacles and having a hard skull on it's head.

Aeries had a dream.

He rebuilt everything and was a true hero in everyone's mind. Destroying bandits, defeating the rival kingdoms. Every citizen sang his name.
He enlarged his new harem to a terrifying degree, even pulling the queen and princesses to it...
In it, he had already taken hold of the Joran Kingdom. With his new cultivation of Peak Martial King Realm, no one dared strayed his way.
Currently, he reclined lazily on his royal Throne. By his side, Three women attended to him in a not so censored fashion.
“Your majesty, are you about to take another woman to be our new sister? Ho should the selection be like?” Right woman smiled at him.
“Hmmp! don't belittle our husband! I suggest he takes more! Make it in a grand style!” The middle one that got the special privilege of sitting on his lap grinned 'righteously'

Aeries stabbed his heart with his sword... Or almost. As soon as he felt the sharp cutting on his skin, his vision blurred and he was jarred awake.
