Preparation for Contest. Crossed Hammer Pavilion Part 2

Seeing this Aeries sighed softly, the look in his eyes now turned to a that of a hermit, cut off from all worldly matters, the struggle and strive of all humans were sometimes too difficult and distant for another person to understand.     According to his memories, Kane was formerly and poor underfed commoner who sold charcoal and gravels for feed him and his little sister.... One year, with the harsh weather in the slums, his little sister caught a cold. He hadn't even a little bit of money then to support for her hospital fees so he had bet everything on the annual test held by the Kriegar Family, luckily for him, he was found to have high aptitude for cultivation with even Jade spirit root! Being the root for sturdiness and strong defense.     Aeries had a feeling that all he was doing this whole time was to promote himself to a very top position for the betterment of his and his sister's life. But still although that meant much to Aeries, it still wouldn't stop him from pursuing his own goal before others. You have your problems, well I have mine too... If I can help and it doesn't affect my goal, then I'll gladly do it.. If not, sorry, I'm not buying that.   "Sure.. Let's meet Father." ------ ------------ ------------------ -------------- ---   In the Earl's new study room, the kids were all dutifully listening to the Earl's speech again. Except Aeries, all the rest were either commoners who the family brought up or children from other hidden Kriegars who weren't living large in their respective hide out.  "So.. Although I brought some good weapons in the cart with me, it might not suit some of you since everyone has his own skill path.. The weapons I brought were mostly swords. And armors too." "We understand.... Father" The children answered. "En. So if anyone specializes in spear or Lance or bow, and don't see good ones... I'll hand over some coins to Kane and he'll take you guys to get some.. Right Kane, Henry and Wayne also. You give don't really use the sword... Is there anyone else?"    A white hand was raised up. "Eh.. Aeries, if not a Sword like me your Father, what do you think you'll be better in using?" His father questioned incredulously.   "Ehm.. I haven't been practicing much sword skills recently father, and with the color of my spiritual root, I obviously would be better in hand combat.. I need a strong Knuckle weapon.. Preferably High cold steel or something of that kind." "This.... Are you sure, that weapon is something only brutes that love close hand to hand combat would use, you should pick a sword. I've read of generals with the same Gold spiritual root using swords, spears and even bow" Kane picked in. No matter how one looked at Aeries, he resembled a thin lascivious slick pants no matter what he did. In their eyes he could never amount to much, even with the title of the 100 years seen Genius. When he defeated Erhard all of them thought, 'Wouldn't he come to the capital, we're slithering dragons and crunching tigers lay, humph.. See how he dares act arrogant there.... Even when everyone heard of his high aptitude for cultivation... It's just his father secretly using a high grade forbidden potion to burn his potential, he'll just be a piece of trash soon. Aeries reputation all over the capital and even in his own home town was that of the number one Slick Pants! Nothing could ever change their minds.   "Forget... Forget, just let him get what he wants" In his Father's mind, this competition was just like a stupid brawl between kids, in fact he had secretly hoped Aeries lost somewhat terribly as that would rile him up and also diminish any thoughts he had for the princesses, what loser in some mere tournament would be so bold as to still propose to the princess, hump, this was killing two birds with a stone.    "Quick you children should take some guards and go, leave this Father to rest and complete official matters."   The capital was bustling in any given time of the day, less when curfew was enforced every night. The King did not enlarge his City, instead leaving it small but sturdy, with his influence 100% respected here, save for higher businesses of the Empire.   Aeries looked around boringly at flashy armors or gold swords the Kriegar kids were happily rushing at regardless of the sky shaking prices the fat bellied traders set. As far as it had a good name and history, they would all be mesmerized.  It was until the late afternoon, after haggling over prices, they now settled for the still pricey weapons.  "Ehm.. Young master, Young Aeries you surely would still have some hidden cash right? This.. The coins Father gave wouldn't be enough if we were to buy your costly knuckles weapon too." "This, just.. Just use everything for your own stuff guys.. I think am going to just walk around the shops here and search for anything that catches my fancy"   What costly knuckle weapon. It was obvious to any bystander that it was the stupid child driven weapons you bought that took all the money. Hell! Do you think am blind, even the modified price tags says it all.    Aeries would surely use this opportunity to break free from this bunch of greedy kids lest he rage in headache. After walking a few steps outside, he suddenly activated his long suppressed Misty Steps Technique and zoomed steathingly in the crowded place, leaving his guards flabbergasted and frantic.  Just now young master was still behaving wayward like usual, then the next minute he suddenly disappears.. This.  Of course how could the guards with the highest cultivation still at the 1st layer of the Martial Warrior Realm manage to caught his profound movement technique.. This was a High Grade Technique that had been whetted and sharpened with the Way of Finesse manual, countless times. It had long passed the rank of High Grade and reached the par of a Top Grade Technique!"          In the streets the Young Noble Aeries had already changed his clothes to cheap cotton like commoners and done on a low straw hat to his his facial figure, with his somewhat elongated... Sorry heightened body, he fit the normal statistics of everyday commoner moving to and fro in the capital.     Finally he reached his destination after one whole hour trek. Standing before him was a grandeur hall plated with gold and silver, with a huge sign of two inter crossed short Hammers standing proudly like a victorious warrior, the sign alone seem to radiate pressure and only strong or influential people entered the hall, two Twin Towers flanked each side of the hall with clouded fumes coming out from chimneys on both Towers.    This was the most influential weapon hall in the whole Joran Empire, The Crossed Hammer Pavilion!
