My brain was still a little fuzzy as the blackness receded. I became more aware of my surroundings as I heard clanging and talking. I still could not open my eyes and every time I tried to move my body, I hurt everywhere! My body felt like a human punching bag! My chest felt even worse. It was like my heart was bleeding. My stomach muscles felt tender. I looked down and saw dark purple bruises covering my entire abdomen! What the actual f**k?! I closed my eyes, but my head was pounding too much to think proper thought. I lay there and listened to everything around me.
