Everyone was on edge. Athena had told Vex that Beta Rollings had arrived at Shimmering Falls without his mate. I was shocked, to say the least. Something must have happened to separate them with her being this far long in her pregnancy! Donovan had an eerie grin on his face all day, and it was creeping me out. I wanted to go to the room I was staying in until he got word about the whereabouts of the beta female that he was obsessed with, but every time someone tried to leave he would force us to stay where he could keep an eyes on us. It made me worried that he suspected that someone was going to betray him.
