Rosa’s POV
Her throat bubbled with laughter while my throat tightened. “Yes, babe. He knows I’m the only one who gets to him, the only one he absolutely wants. He even mentioned that he would clear his schedule for next weekend just for me.”
A sharp pain stabbed my chest. But she didn’t stop.
“Mmm, yes…all night. He couldn’t get enough of me.”
I couldn’t believe it. He had promised me that he would change and all along I thought there was something special brewing between us. Why had I believed in that fairytale?
My throat burned and I looked away. If I kept looking at her, I was going to break into a sob right there. But the call ended and she tossed her bag at me. “Hold this.”
I didn’t move.
“Hold. The. Bag!” she snapped.
