Rosa’s POV I went to the kitchen after work, deciding I wanted to make dinner. I knew I owed Alex an apology especially with the way he had responded in the office. I wished he said something because his silence was loud in my head. It was my fault. So I cooked. Maybe over dinner we would finally talk. As I chopped vegetables, my thoughts drifted to Patra. I wanted to believe that she was still the friend I could trust—a part of me still did.. But another part kept telling me that something wasn’t right. She had been so mad that I used her phone and didn’t even care about my accident and then, she insulted Alex. I knew something was wrong. Then I remembered the number I had seen in her phone earlier.
