I'll never be

I'll never be the one you truly want.

I'll never be her.

She is the ghost that is prisoner inside this so called love of ours.

She is the one crushing my very soul.

The one that has your heart.

You promised to love, honor, and cherish me but it was all lies.

She is the one you desire.

For I am the one that said yes, but she is the one you love.

I cry tears that go unnoticed.

I have a heart that is forever broken.

I try to fight for you, but I've grown weak.

I fight in vain.

Because I'll never be her.

The one you whisper of in your sleep.

The one you close your eyes and pretend that I am.

everyone told me you love her.

I didn't believe them.

What a fool I was.

I was blinded by love.

The last shard of my heart has broken.

There is nothing left.

You have forsaken me.

I sit here crying while memories of her haunt us.

She is the death of us.

I'll never be the one you truly want.
