Betrayed by love

All my life I have searched for love, but never truly found it.

I've had guys tell me they loved me, but it was all one cruel joke.

So, when I met you, I thought for sure you were the one.

Only to find out our love isn't real.

I wasn't who you truly loved.

I spent all these years fighting for us.

When people would doubt us, I came to your defense.

Yet you called out for another.

It was always her you wanted.

I shared your bed.

While she had your heart.

I was your second choice.

The girl you married because I had said yes when she wouldn't.

I thought what we had was real.

Now I am the broken fool.

Love has brought me nothing but pain.

All of it was a pretty painted lie.

I was to blinded by what I wanted to see the truth through the lies.

I didn't see I was once again betrayed by love.
