Chapter 8: Positive

1018 Words
Bullets shattered the car windows as the convoy sped through the dark streets. I was trapped in the middle seat between Dominic and Dante when the first shots were fired. The window glass exploded everywhere. I screamed as sharp pieces of it rained down on us. Dominic threw his body over mine instantly, shoving me down into the seat. Dante did the same from the other side, his arm locked around my waist tight. “Stay down!” Dominic roared, his voice cutting through the chaos. More bullets ripped through the car. The driver swerved hard. I felt Dominic flinch as a bullet grazed his shoulder. Warm blood soaked through his shirt onto my back. Dante cursed and fired back through the broken window, his body shielding me from the other side. “Faster!” Dante shouted at the driver. “Get us to the safe house!” Another round of shots hit the car. A bullet punched through the door near my leg. I cried out, curling tighter between them. Dominic and Dante pressed closer, using their bodies to shield me. Their heartbeats hammered against me fast, angry, protective. The car finally screeched into an underground garage. The moment it stopped, Dominic yanked me out of the car and ran, carrying me like I weighed nothing. Dante covered our backs, his gun raised, ready to open fire. They didn’t stop until we were inside the reinforced safe house, the doors clicked shut behind us. Dominic set me down in the living room, his eyes roaming all over my body checking for any form of injuries. His shirt and hands were all stained with blood. Dante paced nearby, also bleeding from a cut on his arm. “Are you hurt?” Dominic asked, his voice rough as he ran his hands over my arms and stomach. “I’m okay,” I whispered, trembling. “But both of you are bleeding.” Dante slammed his gun on the table. “This was all your fault,” he snapped at Dominic. “You said the route was clean.”Huh. Dominic’s eyes darkened with anger. “My fault? You’re the one who insisted on taking her out tonight. I told you it was too risky.” They started arguing loudly, their voices overlapping, both of them tense and angry. I quickly stood in between them. “Stop!” I shouted. My voice cracking. “Just stop fighting. I’m scared enough already.” The shooting had been meant for me. Someone clearly wants me dead. And all you both could come up with was just to argue and tear each other apart. I hissed. Both twins turned towards me at the same time. The anger on their faces melted into hunger mixed with raw protectiveness. Dominic reached for me first. He pulled me into his arms and kissed me hard, like he needed to remind himself I was still alive. Dante moved behind me, pressing himself against my back, his lips finding my neck. “We almost lost you tonight,” Dante murmured against my skin. I should have pushed them away. Instead, I melted into their touch. Their hands were moving all over my body, Dominic held my waist, and Dante slid his hand under the red dinner gown I wore. Fear and adrenaline turned into desperate need. Dante carried me in a bridal way into the bedroom without saying a word. He laid me down on the bed. Dominic kissed me deeply while Dante pulled my clothes off. Their hands moving in sync, rough but careful, like they were afraid I might disappear. “You’re ours, Lila” Dominic growled against my mouth as he pushed inside me. “Say it.” “I’m yours,” I gasped. Dante kissed my neck from behind. “Both of us.” hmm yes I moaned out. They both took me together tonight. Dominic deep and possessive, Dante teasing but intense. I lost myself between them, moaning their names, my body vibrating with so much pleasure and overwhelming emotion. They didn’t stop until I came hard, crying out in ecstasy as waves of pleasure crashed over me. Only then did they let go, each one of them filling me up with their cums. Afterward, I laid in between both of them, weak and exhausted. Dominic stroked my hair. Dante rested his hand on my stomach. “We need to tell you something,” Dominic said quietly. I turned to look at him. “something like what?” I asked, curiosity kicking in. Dante answered. “Dominic and I are bound by a family blood oath". Which means what? I asked completely confused. " Calm down, Lila." He continued, what it means is that whoever between both of us that gets you pregnant first becomes the undisputed Mafia Lord of the whole East Coast. Our father made it a compulsory law before he passed on. That’s why we couldn't afford to let you go. And that’s the same reason we both want you so much.” My heart skipped a bit. “So this whole time… the contract… the heir…” “Was never just about having a baby,” Dominic finished. “It was about power.” I lay there in silence, their words sinking in. Everything now made sense. Their possessiveness. The rivalry. The way they both refused to share me with anyone else. Dominic kissed my forehead. “You’re not just our wife anymore, Lila. You’re the key to unlocking everything.” I didn’t know what to say. My mind spinning. Later, when they finally fell asleep by each of my side, I slipped out of bed and went to the bathroom. My hands shook as I took out the pregnancy kit I had hidden earlier. I ran the test, then waited for the result to show. Two lines appeared, signifying that I tested positive. I stared at it for a long time, my heart pounding. I didn’t know whether the baby was for Dominic or D ante. And I have no idea what would happen when they found out.
