Calvin’s POV
We get to Venice about midday. Kate reserved for us a suite which had a view over the Rio Malpaga canal side and for a nice garden. The hotel was beautiful with great views, chandeliers in all rooms. From everywhere in the hotel comes richness. Tall walls and high ceilings in public rooms, marble floors, all this hotel shouted to us posh and luxury. We didn’t bother about prices, as we all had money. We get a water taxi from the airport and within 20 minutes we reached our destination. Kate’s eyes get bigger and bigger as she walked to our room. After we freshen up, we went for a tour. We saw St. Mark’s Basilica from 1092 and, of course, St Mark’s Square. We get a little journey through Canal Grande.
