Porsad Hospital
Porsad Hospital housed a wide variety of patients - some were old, some were young, some were criminals, some were martyrs, some were religious, some were atheists. But every year during the time of Christmas, all differences were forgotten. Each patient under treatment here was just another human being recuperating from an unfortunate physical or mental condition.
Starting from the weekend before Christmas Day, carol singers would visit the ICU and give the patients an auditory treat. People who had recovered from dangerous illnesses in the past would come here and share stories of hope and endurance. And children from the nearby schools would be brought here on a field trip to inculcate in them a sense of empathy during the season of giving.
