Muliaman Prison
Sanath woke up in his individual cell feeling healthy. It had been a week since Sanath had been transferred to Muliaman Prison, and the luxuries that he received here were a pleasant surprise.
He had spotted famous businessmen and former politicians who had been disgraced in the public eye. Here. they looked anything but disgraced. They commanded respect among the prison staff, and got their needs met by speaking in firm, polished, yet polite tones.
"And now, I'm one of them," he thought with a frown. The authorities at East Holpura Prison had made it explicit that he was being rewarded for his 'exceptional behaviour' and his 'success as an author', and that he 'deserved every bit of the reward'.
