When the elevator clicked and they were back on the first floor almost as if coming out of a trance.
Ryan stepped out his gun was pointed forward almost expecting to be ambushed. “What do we do now?”
“Let’s head back to the car and go from there,” Frank replied, it seemed more to himself than anyone else as he walked forward without waiting for anyone passing the dead bodies that littered the receptionist hall. His gun was lowered. “I have to see those kids one more time.”
It was almost like he believed every word that came from the alien, would this be their end? He couldn’t have come this far just to die like this even if what he had experienced was a dream, it was all real to him.
