Ryan and Dan sat before the TV in the most secured place in the house. Infront of the two men were bottles of alcohol, Ryan was extremely cautious to ensure that he did not ingest anything that would contain CFG2. It was a slow killer and it might take years before any symptom show. Ryan had conducted experiments upoin it and it did show a reaction to the Manere Parasitus but would it be the same as the Blue Poppers or would the Cain Project be the end of it now? Ryan chalked it down to the rapid rate of testing now being carried out to the desperation of the government to get results faster than the CFG2s would give them.
He flipped through the channels looking for signs of anything that seemed out of the ordinary mostly cannibalism but there was nothing. Each time he flipped through and nothing was there he breath out with relief. He still had more time to get there plans under way.
“How is everything coming along?” Dan asked as he took a seat down next to Ryan.
“Its a lot more than I think I can handle.”
“You try not to think about it man, you need to focus on whats important your family. Your not superman, you can’t save the world but you can save the people that matter the most to you and who ever other strangler you can get on the way.”
Ryan looked at Dan for a while and nodded his head.
“I always knew it, and people thought I was crazy, that aliens existed. You still been getting headaches?”
“Yeah in the night my head just keep hurting everytime I try to think about something.”
“Maybe that’s the problem.” Dan adjusted himself into the chair. “You’re over thinking everything.”
“How can you remain so calm Dan in this situation, things aren’t playing out in the same order as in the future that I know. Certain things are happening yes but the names have changed. The father of immortality is a lie, the parasities are the reason why we can’t eat. The government is trying to kill off the population and we might run out of food in twenty years. They have been keeping all of this information hidden from the public.”
“Of course they would.” Dan knocked backed the lil bit of alchol in the bottle. “ What would you do if I told you all of this? The thing living dormant inside you that you have been thanking for long life will be taking over your brain and all that other stuff you told me.”
“Chaos, I assume.”
“Chaos is exactly what would happened, people would fight and kill each other over the last resources and maybe we might end each other for the resources. The fact that there isn’t an all out war and there is a cooperation going on between governments. Dan chuckled as he grabbed another beer. “I don’t know if I should consider that good or scary.”
“How many people you assume would be able to hold in---.”
“In the bunker? about fifteen, it won’t be the best fit for everyone or comfortable but it can work. Only a few people know about it and those that do would be allowed in of course I didn’t inform them off the things that were about to occur. Can people really remember all those details after?” Dan asked.
“Yes, they can remember. They might not think nothing of it but I am not sure its best that they don’t know too much or too many things about getting in.”
“So if push had to come to shove I might need to kill those people?”
“Kill them?”
Dan laughed. “Well you weren’t giving me much of a choice. If they can’t get in or inside. They become a bit liable to attacking or revealing our location to the enemy.”
“Do you think, I could stop this?” Ryan asked.
“I doubt it, its one end afer another. Maybe you stop the government slow down the project of killing people. Then what? How will you solve the food? Kill the parasite and what side effect would that cause on humans now that have been living with it their whole life.”
“We might be able to find a way to grow plants to sustain the world.”
“Truthfully Ryan, I know you know this. Its not like they can’t grow food its who they grow food for. The real food is grown for the rich and the poor are given s**t. You take away the parasite and the people would probably drop like flies from all of those chemicals or mutate into something else.”
Ryan sat back in the chair. “You really make it sound so hopeless, there must be a reason that I got send back here. There must be something that I can do.”
“I won’t tell you not to try just make sure that you keep it to a low profile so that we can all survive,” Dan replied, “You want another beer?”
“Sure why not.”

Ryan sat in his chair looking at the many documents before him, this room was very open as all the other researchers were beside him. Infront of him sealed in another glass room was the huge parasite, he looked at it. In the future he came back from he had never been here despite working with Alina. Ryan’s gaze fell upon the few scientist that were in the room with him. None of the older men seemed remotely afraid of what they were dealing with. Of course they wouldn’t be afraid, they were making a virus than could kill the parasite and being paid millions on top of it to be quiet. They instead reacted with childish glee as they poked and prodded the experiment but so far it seemed that there wasn’t any signs of change or progress.
The alien on the other hand, the father of mankind whenever Ryan got near it his head would hurt. It was like the first time he came back to this world and the feeling he got every night. He had noted it but kept it to himself it was strange.
“Dr. Matters?” a voice called to him.
Ryan turned to see an older man than him scratching his bald head, his arm was pinned. The man’s green eyes met his.
“Yes, can I help you with something.”
The man took a seat down at Ryan’s desk, he looked around slowly for a moment before speaking.
“I wanted to speak to you, do you think, rather do you feel anything strange with you when you went around the Alienus.”
Ryan rested the paper he was looking at down. Was it reaching out to them? Ryan thought it was unique only to him was it some sort of psychic wave maybe or was it trying to talk? But then how would he have the same feeling now as when he returned. When he had came back to this world he was home in the bathroom.
“Dr.Matters?”
“Sorry, I got lost in some thoughts, how long was this happening?”
“From the time I got here, the time we were working on it but it didn’t seem to be affecting the rest I asked. I wanted to run it by you since its foreign to this world and all.”
“I understand go have a MRI scan and see what comes from it. I wouldn’t take it lightly we are all dealing with something that’s a bit foreign… to us.”
Ryan remembered the camera above his head. He assumed they could be listening into the conversation and he was interested to see if those results might be corresponding with his.
Was the alien trying to talk to them, he wondered but what and why?
The man gave his thanks and got up from the chair. Ryan picked up the paper that he had rested down. How would he get through tomorrow meeting and feedback? They had tried all different kinds of posions on the parasite but none of it seemed to work at all. The feedback given from scientist overseas using live test subjects were more of the same. The good news was they were still alive, the bad news was that they would probably end up in a form of horrible death. They were more posions and toxins that were lethal tried and failed added to the list that did nothing. It seemed with the CFG2 the only thing that did anything to the parasite from the garlic with in it which proved useful although hard to produce due to the lack of farming. From the notes he read on the person who created it. It seemed to be theorized that after time would be able to kill the parasite the thing is the amount of time and the amount that a person would need to ingest to get that effect.
Ryan didn’t believe that it would work it was the same as the Blue Poppers but the Blue Poppers had used ginger as it priority. It had to be awakening the dormant parasite with the poking and prodding. It wouldn’t make a difference if Ryan spoke about that now the government or his boss wouldn’t take him too serious.
The Manere Parasitus was kind of similar to a regular parasite in many ways. Except the two differences of it one being dormant, two being accepted by the body by certain individual types and three granting the human host with defences that could last long after if it is departed that could prolong life into a form of immortality.
The parasite and this Alien were both dormant almost in two different sleeps and this parasite unlike the ones in there bodies was huge. It stood to be the same size as a basket ball player and depth of a sumo wrestler. What was the connection there? There had to be something that he could use to stop all of these things from happening.
Dan’s word hit him then if he tried to save everyone could he? He doubt it he couldn’t solve the food problems. Anyway he looked at it there was going to be a war. It was either the Parasite killing the humans or the humans killing each other. Everything would still be in the name of resources.
