"Alpha's father is dead!"
The maid's scream echoed through the hallway like thunder.
My footsteps stopped instantly.
"What?" I whispered.
The maid was crying uncontrollably now.
"Yes, he---he suddenly collapsed.
My chest tightened immediately. Asher turned sharply.
"Who confirmed it?"
"The pack's doctor.." she cried.
"Everyone is outside already..."
I looked toward the entrance hall and froze. Some pack members had already gathered outside the Alpha quarters. Women cried loudly while warriors stood with their heads bowed. Murmurs started spreading everywhere.
