The next day Tommy arrived at CoolToday Park and almost choked on the breakfast burrito he was stuffing in his mouth. The protesters were back. This time they carried different signs: “Be a dear, shoot Browning!” “Bambi says Tommy sucks!” “Deer lives matter!” Tommy shook his head. I thought they’d be gone. He quickly plotted his strategy, waiting for another car to arrive for cover. Luckily, someone drove up in a Nissan Armada. Tommy made his move, following close behind in the giant SUV’s shadow. He plowed ahead, ducking his body under the dashboard of his car with his eyes barely above it. He peeked into his rearview mirror.
